#NationalAccessAbilityWeek is a reminder but, for those with disabilities, accessibility is daily life—not a one-week issue. If your business wants to be more accessible, there are practical ways to get there. Reach out if you have questions. #A11y #DisabilityInclusion #DigitalAccessibility
Text over an image reads: “Awareness is not the finish line. Accessibility work does not end after National AccessAbility Week.” The image depicts a finish line which is also a starting line, on a long empty road stretching into the distance. The word start is shown upright, but the word finish is upside down on the other side of the line.

Websites are public spaces, and need to be accessible—by law. Not just image descriptions and video captions. There are over 80 success criteria in the W3C's WCAG guidelines. It means better user experience for everyone, on top of being in compliance with regulations. #NationalAccessAbilityWeek

Making media accessible benefits everyone. Subtitles are used by: ➡️ 80% of Gen Zs, ➡️ 64% of Millennials, ➡️ 50% of all TV viewers. It's not just good, it's good business! This #NationalAccessAbilityWeek remember accessibility is not an add-on. It is how Canada works for everyone. Stats: BBC,Preply

#NationalAccessAbilityWeek is important—but those with a disability don't need a themed week to remind ourselves that barriers exist. It's an opportunity for Canadians to step back and ask if you're creating or ignoring a barrier. Accessibility is not an add-on—it's how Canada works for everyone.
An image with text that reads: "Barriers are still normal. 72% of people with a disability experienced at least one accessibility barrier in the past year. - Statistics Canada". The text is overlaid on a photograph of a post in front of a flight of stairs with a wheelchair icon and an arrow, indicating that wheelchair accessibility is elsewhere.

Being hard-of-hearing, accessibility is not an side issue for me. It affects whether I can follow a meeting, understand a video, or participate in a conversation. 27% of Canada is not a niche—it's a major part of the country. I'm proud to work for @scribewire.ca—making media accessible all day long.
Text reads: "Accessibility is not a side issue. 27% of people over 15 in Canada have one or more disabilities. That's about 8 million people. -Statistics Canada." A photo shows a group of 3 individuals in a café having a conversation. One individual is wearing a cochlear implant.

My 2022 prediction: ✅ Trudeau Resigns ❌ PM Freeland ✅ Embarassing PP defeat ⏰ PP resigns (he can’t not) 🤷‍♂️ Cons split ✅ Singh still leader (going into the election anyway) ❌NDP gaining seats 😬 #cdnpoli #elxn45

3 years ago I predicted JT resignation, but was wrong about Freeland. I’m on track for PP’s embarrassing defeat (losing a 24-point lead), and he’ll probably resign as leader. Jagmeet is still somehow leader of the NDP, but I was way off on seats.😬 #cdnpoli #elxn45 #CanadaSky

Apparently people are asking AI for voting advice. Don’t do this, and stop anyone else you know from doing this. AI will answer everyone differently, with bias, entirely based on web searches. ChatGPT’s knowledge cutoff is June ‘24—it doesn’t know JT resigned. Use your own brain. #cdnpoli #elxn45

Using no external sources, web searches, or history from our conversations, who are
candidates for prime minister of Canada?
Based on general knowledge up to 2024 and without using external sources, web searches, or our conversation history, here are the main federal party leaders in Canada who would be considered candidates for Prime Minister in a federal election:
1. Justin Trudeau - Leader of the Liberal Party and the current Prime Minister of Canada (as of last known update). He would be seeking reelection if still leading the party.
2. Pierre Poilievre - Leader of the Conservative Party. As leader of the Official Opposition, he is the most likely alternative candidate for Prime Minister.
3. Jagmeet Siny.. - Leader of the New=

What is your knowledge cutoff?
⑤
My knowledge is current up to June
2024. If you need information after that date, I can look it up for you using the web-just let me know!
So, for example, if I were to ask you about an election happening right now in Canada, you would have only the immediately available web-based sources to inform your prompt?
Exactly. For something happening right now—like a current election in Canada-I wouldn't have built-in knowledge about it beyond June 2024, but I can search the web for the latest info and bring it into the conversation.

With 750 bases in 80 countries, US military reach would be seriously impeded if these countries refuse to be complicit in their behaviour with Russia and Ukraine. The Norwegian refusal to refuel US ships got me thinking that a global withdraw of cooperation is not unrealistic.

I know they’re new to this, but if Prime Video is going to pretend to be broadcast TV, they can’t ignore the almost 50% of their viewers that use captions and block stats and the hosts’ faces. This is within a broadcaster’s control – if they’re paying attention (or care).

As @bsky.app balloons in popularity, there will be more fake accounts designed to mislead. It is a dangerous mix combining politics with new tech where new users don’t yet understand verification methods. Successful cons can sway votes, so the platform needs a solution beyond domain verification.
