I recently finished recording this orchestral piece inspired by one of my favorite book series. I set the music to a slideshow of paintings I've done based on the series as well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZNz...

I spent a good portion of last year doing quick landscape studies like this. It was when I finally learned how to use the lasso tool for painting. I should go back to doing them. They were fun. #Art #FantasyArt #Illustration

Stylized painting of a snowy landscape with a mountain ridge at the back. There are foot steps on the snow, and a dragon sitting atop one of the mountain peaks.

Repeat pattern of the greenery crushed into a forest floor. tan leaf branches and grey slate branches with bright red and dark green large berries also small branches of tan leaves with red berries and slate grey branches with tan leaves on a dark navy blue background

Black and white ink illustration of a gigantic eldritch inspired underwater creature near a pier. There is a small dock to the left with a building on a pier above the water. In the middle below is a small fishing boat with dark ripples of water to the left of it. Behind is fog rolling in partially covering four giant tentacles coming out of the water

Black and white illustration of a Victorian wall with a scarab ward framed. The border of the whole piece is a torn paper. Inside is Victorian black and white striped wallpaper with damask type filigree in the black and smaller stripes and speckles in the white with small vertical black stripes on either side. In the damask pattern are slightly abstract symbols of infinity, an hourglass, an ankh and other resurrection symbols. In the middle is an ornate rectangular frame framing a large scarab beetle with its wings out. On its wings are celestial symbols like Jupiter, stars and the moon. Around the scarab are peony flowers and branches of a tree branching towards the top left with a vine white line swooping in an out and around the frame in the same direction. The scarabs body is engraved like metal with filigree. Behind the scarab in the frame is grain shading grey over black.

I often use my paintings to tell the stories in my head I know I won't have time to fully flesh out into novels. This piece features a character and setting I could see making for a great story. I don't often do work in this style, but I had a lot of fun with this one. #digitalart #painting #artwork
