Unfortunately I didn't have all of the correct parts and colors (along with a mistake in the original instructions which is now fixed), so I had to improvise.

Sadly owls are associated too much with spooky/evil things.

Brenna @iamowls.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Thanks! I was considering selling them as an emoji pack, but I decided against it. I might sell them as stickers instead.

I've seen other people be creeped out by owls (I think it was because of their large, forward facing eyes). I'm glad that you're cool with them now!

It's an under tail covert from a thrush.

While testing my new signature lithograph to make sure it works with watercolor, I discovered that it makes a nice tattoo. #lithography #lithograph #watercolor #watercolour #tattoo #tyto #ashyfacedowl #tytoglaucops

Tattoo like watercolor lithograph print on my wrist. It's an outline of an ashy faced owl flying. Beneath on my wrist is an owl chain bracelet.

Close-up of a watercolor lithograph print signature on an artwork. It's an outline of an ashy faced owl flying. Inked in is the owl's facial disk border, eyes, beak, and my name, split in half, as the underwing coverts.

When we found the pitcher plants and sundew at the Orono Bog Boardwalk, I may or may not have went a little crazy and tried to photograph all of them. #dslr #nikon #flowers #floral #flowerphotography #purplepitcherplant #roundleavedsundew #spoonleafsundew #oronobogboardwalk #maine

Purple pitcher plant. The pitchers are purple, cylindrical, and have openings at the top. It has a tall purple stem with a red and yellow 5 petal flower at the top. The center of the flower protrudes out and is circular.

Spoonleaf sundew. They are purple with teardrop shaped leaves and long stems. The leaves are covered in sticky protrusions.

Round leaved sundew. They are purple with roundish shaped leaves and short to medium stems. The leaves are covered in sticky protrusions.

I'm going to digitize them and fix a few things, but I probably won't post that. I might eventually sell them as stickers and expand to other species.

I also created a list to keep track of wishlist species that I've seen: www.inaturalist.org/lists/461268.... Currently some species are on both lists as I either want better pictures or I've only seen them dead. As I find species I want to see, and see species, I'll now sync the lists and docs.

For awhile I've been keeping a wishlist of species on my laptop in a series of folders and Word docs sorted by Class and Family. Recently I decided to create a list on iNat, which I just finished importing: www.inaturalist.org/lists/460513....

What's everyone's thoughts on INPRNT? I'm considering making a shop, but I'm worried about the quality, it being a hassle to deal with (especially international shipping), and pricing (for me and buyers). And if not INPRNT, any other recommendations? I currently can't make my own prints, etc.

The chukar is tentative as I have no idea where it came from.

With this summer tanager, chukar, american woodcock, bay breasted warbler, common eider, and black guillemot, I just need 3 more bird species to reach my [current] goal of 300. #dslr #nikon #birdphotography #birds #summrtanager #pirangarubra #chukar #alectorischukar

Sounds about right (except, what's up with Miami?).

A Map of the US with a blue to red heat map. The blue represents regions that speak least like me, and red most like me. The highest reds are in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Southern Florida.

Meet Ailbhe: she's been traveling with me for some time, but I've only recently named her. I've also decided to start documenting some of my travelings with her. 1st is our trip to Maine. #stuffedanimal #landscape #traveling #birds #snowyowl #owl #owls #bubo #buboscandiacus

The Guardians of Ga'Hoole series. I've liked owls since I was a baby, but that series really sparked my obsession with them (although it died down temporarily in high school).
