Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 06/06/2026It’s Saturday and I’m sitting here wishing for the weekend to go by quickly so Monday can get here already. This is the effect the Knicks can have on a man. 021
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 14/05/2026This is a very fair assessment of Stearns, one that acknowledges where he deserves blame for things that have gone wrong while simultaneously A) giving credit for where the org has improved under his control, and B) expressing how bad things would be if he’s not given the chance to right the ship. 020
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 03/05/2026We’re gonna watch Bo Bichette provide some bad shortstop defense for the next two months after he was perfectly suitable at third base. Surely this will result in Mets fans realizing that it’s actually okay to sometimes move players from their original position, right? 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 23/04/2026Mets fans should treat this win like the Knicks winning a playoff series. I wanna see a Sidetalk video of drunk New Yorkers screaming like lunatics. 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 22/04/2026Someone should really inform the Mets that they are allowed to get more than one big hit a game. It’s encouraged, even. 120
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 21/04/2026Mets fans and Phillies fans embracing the abyss together 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 20/04/2026It’s pretty funny how the only scenario in which the Mets would be in a worse position than the one they’re in right now is the one in which they make the fans happy by keeping all the old favorites. 2194
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 16/04/2026Logging on to say that Brett Baty still has not worked a walk all season and batting him third is deeply unserious no matter how many players are hurt. 010
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 01/04/2026If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that no one - no one! - is able to be normal talking about the Mets. 040
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 12/03/2026Vinnie P is out there fighting for the pride of my people (Jets fans) 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 11/03/2026Whatever your prediction is for Nolan McLean’s 2026 ERA, you should probably just go ahead and drop it by a run or so. 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 26/01/2026I always dreamed of Sam Darnold beating the Patriots in the playoffs. 020
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 22/01/2026It is now January 21st. The Mets have acquired several very good players. They have spent a lot of money in doing so. The roster now looks notably better than it did at the end of the 2025 season. Gee, who could have foreseen this outcome????? 030
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 16/01/2026I was knee-deep in preparing my “Bo Bichette is actually super mid” takes for when I thought the Phillies were gonna sign him and now I have to immediately pivot to a “Bo Bichette is actually better than Kyle Tucker” take and there’s just a lot of whiplash going on in my brain right now. 030
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 16/01/2026I think Tim nails the essential issue here. The Mets’ infrastructure is reasonably close to where the Dodgers were five years ago. They - along with every other team in baseball - are miles away from where the Dodgers are now, and there’s no easy pathway to making up that gap. 021
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 18/12/2025This individual mocks me for watching the Jets every Sunday but is locked in for a weeknight bowl game between two .500 college teams. 100
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 15/12/2025The slop posters will never learn and that’s just to be expected. The disappointing part of the discourse has been all the people who are usually pretty smart and should know better who have been reacting the exact same way as the slop posters. And those people also probably won’t learn anything. 030
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 13/12/2025This suggestion will fall on deaf ears - the majority of Mets fans are just committed to screaming about every single thing that happens - but I’ll offer it anyway: you don’t need to have an immediate reaction to every single transaction. You can just wait to hear more and/or see what else happens. 230
Reposted by Michael DragoKate Feldman @kateefeldman.bsky.social · 13/12/2025Wow weird I guess the Mets' offseason wasn't over on Dec. 10 after all. Funny how that works. 7373
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 12/12/2025If you’re currently raging about Stearns doing a terrible job, you should consider the fact that Eric Chavez agrees with you. You should then ask yourself whether agreeing with Eric Chavez’s baseball takes generally puts you on the right side of history. 020
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 10/12/2025It is now December 10th and so many good players still remain available, in case anybody was wondering. 020
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 10/12/2025Making a return to Bluesky to offer these thoughts: 1) Díaz was often frustrating but largely fun and I will miss him. 2) There’s not much that Stearns could have done other than offer him more years, which would have been a bad baseball decision. And now, for the most important part: 140
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 04/11/2025Enlightened is the superior Mike White HBO show. Sorry, White Lotus. 010
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 24/09/2025Gary Cohen: “It’s been a team effort for the Mets tonight.” David Peterson: 050
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 28/08/2025The Phillies are still objectively the clear favorites in the division but now their fans are sweating a little bit and that is beautiful to me. 030
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 30/07/2025I’m a bit surprised that the Mets are giving up all three of these guys in the one deal but I also don’t think giving up any of them individually is anything to be upset about and if you do you might just not be listening to the right people about the Mets’ farm system. 321
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 30/07/2025If Ronny Mauricio and Brett Baty are still playing against lefties after the deadline something has gone horribly, horribly wrong. 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 23/07/2025I paid ten bucks for WiFi on our plane to San Francisco so I could watch that game. And if I had only been able to see Francisco Alvarez’s homer… dayenu. 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 30/06/2025Very excited to have another Philadelphia sports team to hate. 010
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 05/06/2025Is Keith gonna be emotionally prepared to go call a baseball game in twenty minutes amidst everything or is Ron gonna need to call in to do it? 0110
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 26/05/2025I’m just Reed, and I’m enough And I’ve got such awesome stuff. So hey, check me out, yeah, I’m just Reed 010
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 19/05/2025My take on tonight’s baseball game and this weekend’s Subway Series in general is that the Knicks play game one of the Eastern Conference Finals at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night. 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Mitchell Robinson Eastern Conference Finals appearances: 1 Joel Embiid Eastern Conference Finals appearances: 0 How can you not be romantic about basketball? 030
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 11/05/2025Brett Baty, you had my curiosity. Now you have my attention. 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 04/05/2025If Jesse Winker needs to go on the IL, there will be an all-out war between the Brett Baty girlies and the Jared Young nerds. There will be no escaping the chaos. Friendships will be destroyed. Choose your side now and may God have mercy on us all. 130
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 02/05/2025David Stearns is watching, Knicks. Finish this for him. 000
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 25/04/2025It was really nice for the Mets to debut their A lineup in Washington DC so I can see it in-person. 030
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 17/04/2025Never ask a man his salary, a woman her age, or a Mets fan how much they spent on the NYON drop. 061
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 15/04/2025Do you think a tiny piece of Gary Cohen’s soul dies each time he’s forced to say “tonight’s game is brought to you by MooMoo”? 020
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 08/04/2025I was very confused when Clayton McCullough - a seemingly well-regarded coach on a good team - decided to accept the manager job for one of the worst franchises in baseball. I am less confused now. 020
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 03/04/2025Brett Baty, what would you say you do here? 110
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 04/03/2025Opposing hitters are simply not ready for the unholy terror that Max Kranick will unleash upon them this year. 110
Michael Drago @iammichaeldrago.bsky.social · 06/02/2025Turns out David Stearns was smarter than all the Internet GMs who wanted the Mets to give Alonso whatever was necessary to get a deal done. Who knew! (Making the rare double post between the Bad Place and here for this. Stearns played this perfectly and nobody should have ever doubted him on it.) 030
