So marvel was able to make all those money because they stuck with their light hearted formula. I can't blame them, because it worked. They never interfered, nor panicked, unlike wb. Superman 2025 to me, was a hot mess, they should've never replaced Cavill. I cant watch movies like that.

Well...they forced snyder to cut the film, they forced him to develop. They continued to interfere then eventually fired the man while he was grieving his adopted daughter. They could've kept what he mapped out& get a competent director to continue the universe, but they reset multiple times.

That universe for wb. Man decided to take a diff approach than marvel & make the story lines more serious& grounded& mature. DC always had a mature audience even in animation. The studio started interfering & forced snyder to developed bvs& even then, they interfered &cut a chunk out that film.

Marvel mapped out their universe from the early 2000 and stuck with it. Their first real money maker was Ironman 2&3 and that was like 4/5 films in. Their 1st billion came from avengers 1. They took time & build their whimsical universe& it worked. DC started the dceu in 2013 & snyder mapped out

I don't blame you,most of the online fandom, dont know what they want. they complained dc being too dark, then when it got campy like marvel, they complained its too much like marvel & too light and no depth. They are the.main reason wb hit the reset button on the universe multiple times.

Oh yes the criticisms were vitriolic. There were things I didnt like, but adaptations are nevee gonna be 100% faithful to the books..heck og got was not either. But the fandom is making it seems the show is unwatchable and thats far from it. They only h8 the show because its not following the book.

Becuase the version of dc characters were not light hearted. Even the critics were of no help either. Zack Snyder mapped out a universe, & took a serious approach instead of the marvel formula, & he got crucified for it. They went overboard with the toxicity to the point wb fired him.
