The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health was established in 2019 to reduce health disparities among disadvantaged and underserved minority populations in Mississippi through the establishment of community-based partnerships.

Flu can be serious, especially for older adults. In Mississippi’s 2024–25 Week 9 respiratory surveillance report, the statewide influenza-like illness rate was 5.3%, up from 5.0% the week before and higher than 4.1% at the same time the year prior.  #FluVaccine #FluPrevention
