Another wild episode of #Survivor there. I'm sure it's been said plenty by now but Rob may have solidified himself as the worst player of all-time. Fakes an injury because he wants to quit but doesn't have the guts to quit outright. Somewhere, even Colton is shaking his head.

More I think about the coin flip I’m like 50/50. The concept really only works with a willing participant. If someone goes home by chance without getting voted out then that’s not Survivor. Maybe the person who’s received the most votes at tribals goes instead of random chance?

Things I didn't like: -Still uneasy about the open era stuff...are we gonna have to endure the hourglass again? -Fire-making (ugh). Can't convince me it's good for the game. -Shot in the dark - take it out, it's literally useless. -Live tribal - it's played its course. 1st tribal is excessive.

Initial reactions to #Survivor 51 premiere: -Love the coin flip idea and it rolling over into future seasons. Survivor finally recognizes $1 million isn't the same in 2026 as 2000. -Rob finds an idol and actually keeps it(!!) with no strings attached. -No lost votes or earning flint. -Marooning

Unfortunately for fans like myself, the Glazers don't fire during the year so we'll have to wait until the offseason. Losing to Deshaun Watson at home should be enough, but I fear they'll just keep hoping things will get better when they won't. It's time for a change.

Then you lose Mike Evans - a guy who has ROUTINELY said he wanted to retire a Buc leave. They can't even find a suitable OC hire so they take Atlanta's scraps. At this point, it's a matter of when not if he gets fired. Not seeing improvement, which is something you shouldn't say 5 years in.

Routinely, his defenses have been mediocre and he's had multiple OCs leave who are now successful HCs elsewhere. Last year ends and many fans like myself think the firing is coming. He's somehow retained, but is essentially forced to fire staff to keep his job (my interpretation, not fact).

We know that doesn't tell the whole story - two of those years they've barely been above .500 and they were really fortunate to win the awful NFC South. The one playoff win came against an Eagles team that was struggggling down the stretch. Last year they started 6-2 and missed the playoffs..

Mini-thread - A lot of where this downturn for this franchise begins is when Bruce Arians retired and handed the job to Todd Bowles. At the time, I wasn't sold on it due to his Jets tenure, but I was willing to give it a doubt. Granted, they've made the playoffs 3 of 4 years.

#Bucs are gonna pay for many years by keeping Bowles for as long as they have and giving Baker a big contract. Might also cause Licht to lose his job and he’s been the best GM in franchise history by far.

#Survivor S13 thread ⬇️ Cook Islands - obviously a big season for many reasons. Most notably, dividing the tribes BY RACE! Hoo boy it's so problematic, yet this season still remains as one of the best/most popular to this day. First Ozzy/Parv, you've got Penner/Candace/Yul too.

Aras wins and that’s not super surprising. I don’t think he played a great game but he insulated himself well and had good social relationships. Weirdly enough, Bruce and Shane were the only two to vote Danielle. Shane was bitter and I guess Aras and Bruce butted heads 🤷🏻‍♂️

FTC was pretty uneventful minus Shane’s attire. It looked like he asked Courtney or Sally for one of their tops. Also crazy that both Aras and Danielle were 23! So much is made of giving younger players money in today’s game. Clearly didn’t matter in the beginning.

Cirie!! She was sooo close. Fire making loss to Danielle was rough. If she wins that, she probably makes final two either way. Terry would have kept her if he won F3 immunity and Aras probably would have too. Said it before but the margins in this game are so small.

Terry is such a beast. He's a really good player. Aside from being the biggest physical threat, he's got a really solid social game. Strategy aspect is a little suspect at times. Saying to Cirie that she should join his minority alliance is less than ideal, but he can have a pass one time.

FTC came and you can just see how pissed the jury was at Steph. She feigned being honest and it really was awful jury management. Given her position, there’s just no way she should have gotten just one vote. Without question, Rafe wins if he’s in F2. BUT, Rafe’s ‘moral compass’ cost him.

Was she the best player this season? No. Did she drive strategy? No. But, she got close with Rafe/Steph and managed to outlast the five alliance. She deserves credit for that even if she doesn’t go down as an all-time great winner.

Lots of time passed. Danni buys the advantage at the auction and wins that then wins at F3. Rafe inexplicably reneges his F2 deal with Danni. She then does the EXACT right thing by voting him out. Lots of winners are defined by what they do near the endgame. Danni epitomized that.

FIRST immunity idol! Season is historic simply due to that. There's so much that happens around this that is fascinating. A. You have to announce you are playing it BEFORE the votes are cast. B. Judd attempted to convince everyone it was 'definitely on the ground' C. Didn't show it being found!
