About being totally obsessed, I can't wait to see where the next issue of In Your Skin takes us. In the interaction with her mom, we learn a bit about what torments Priyanka and I love this detail of the calendar on her wall with an illustration of the Black Goddess Kali, the OG Doomsday Mother.

close up on page showing Kali poster on Priyanka's wall

Kali (holding a decapitated head with one of four arms) symbolizes the death of the ego in the ultimate goal of human life in Hindu dharma — moksha (liberation from the cycle of rebirth). Kali is the embodiment of time (kaala) and the female form of Shiva (Kaala)

Walked into the shop today to specifically ask for this in my box tomorrow since I was late on adding it to my pull. I've been saying no more new number 1s, but learning that Michael Chaves directed the last Conjuring movie did get me interested. Jae Lee just a bonus.

Found this lil sketch of what looks an awful lot like the Absolute Batman symbol from Rafael Grampá - sometime before 2020? Considering when the story was published. Go see the deluxe edition of The Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child. Very timely.

Fraction in response to "A.I. Alfred" - I know a few people were confused. Meanwhile I straight up forgot Alfred is supposed to be dead.

Fraction on AI Alfred:
"he's the jimminninninny cricket on batman's shoulder, a mirror, a trampoline, a long bright needle for his darkest balloon. and he's not an Al hologram? at all. he's neither of those things. and won't be. so... not ai! not a hologram!"

YouTube screenshot desc:
Frank Barbiere first turned heads at Image Comics with Five Ghosts, and now he's back with his most ambitious series yet, The Author Immortal. We dive into Frank's path from breaking in at Image to making the jump into video games, how those experiences shaped his writing today, and why this new metafictional fantasy is the story he's been building toward for years.
