Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 4hOh, dear old PopBitch. How I love your Thursday email. I wonder who this could possibly be….. Gove? Jenrick? So many candidates. 030
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 4hA marvellous article in the LRB, should you be so inclined. Lovely to hear that a season dedicated to Shelagh Delaney’s writing is coming up in Salford.lrb.co.ukSusannah Clapp · On Shelagh DelaneyShelagh Delaney had written A Taste of Honey when she was nineteen; it took her ten days. It was staged by Joan... 010
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 8hI rather like the middle 8. Lost Weekend was never one of favourites to be fair. Rumour has it that it isn’t one of Lloyd’s either. 000
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 12hAs a Smoggie - this examination is LONG overdue. It’s coming to something when we have to rely on Private Eye to keep corruption in the spotlight and calling for accountability. 164
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 15hNot being able to indicate his mood is probably a key thing that other dogs pick up on. Couple with the anxiety and the pheromones as you say 😢 I’m sure he will at least try and mingle for the four days. Even though it’ll feel like four weeks for you! 000
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 15hRepost with a picture with your pets! We are employed by Rango - he’s 15 years old and orange. He tolerates other people but is picky about whom he deigns to grace with his presence when we have friends round. He’s very conversational. We’re never left in any doubt as to what his requirements are. 170

Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 15hOh heck! Four days? I think when pets get to a certain age, like people, they get stuck in their ways. If he cant be arsed with other dogs, he cant be arsed with other dogs. Rango is the same, but with people. He’ll quite happily sod off upstairs until any “stranger danger” has vacated the house. 210
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 14/10/2026No. And nobody ever opens a new box of pills without it opening at the end with the clinical guidelines wrapped around the pills. It never happens. 110
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 14/10/2026I had a fantastic grey marl t-shirt with the orange DJ Culture logo across the front. Can we have a reissue please? 010
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 13/10/2026I always keep a bottle in the kitchen to substitute for cooking wine! LOL 010
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Sadly, no mugs available at the shop….. I’ve always wanted a cake stand in the Jadeite. The beakers are lovely. www.mosserglass.com/collections/...mosserglass.comJadeiteMosser Glass 000
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 13/10/2026I first saw that film when I was a teenager; haunted me. Didn’t realise there was a show based on it. 110
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 13/10/2026I’m convinced that if I dropped down dead, with nobody to find me for a few weeks, Rango would tuck in without even thinking twice about it. I mean, seriously, this is his “feral” expression! 010
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Some people claim to be fans of ABBA. I have their portrait over the mantelpiece in the front room. 350

Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 11/10/2026There’s a raft of virtually interchangeable Asda Charts botherers to choose from. 100
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Never bought an Ed Sheeran record. Never would. He’s musical wallpaper. 100
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 11/10/2026They were all over Gozo when we were there last month. Did make me smile. And there were a lot of well fed looking cats and armies of people feeding the feral ones late at night. Bless em. 010
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I cooked a Xmas cake today as well. Not got around to the pudding yet. 010
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I was 7 when it was released. I still have the cassette and I still have the cassette player. 010

Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 11/10/2026That’s a delightful turn of phrase there. Perfectly captures that moment when you know you look a proper state and hope nobody’s watching. 010

Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I love the sparse new orchestration and the fact you’ve turned the electronics up, when compared to the Prom performance. It’s glorious. Long overdue. 000
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I did enjoy the Graham Norton show just now….. roll on season 2 of MurderBot. 😊 010

Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Dido Harding should stick to riding horses. Whilst sitting on the back of a horse she can’t damage anything. 010
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 10/10/2026That’s a work of beauty! I spy a fair few of my favourites. 020
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Closing theme music briefly fades, voice over says, “And you’ll be pleased to know that Terry and June, return for a new series, next year”. 120
Iain @iainmarley.bsky.social · 10/10/2026The mind boggles as to what Jenrick would find acceptable in someone “Culturally English”. It’s the LAST thing I identify as. The very last. Why? Because I know what the inside of a book looks like. Unlike Robert Jenrick. 010
