“Everything in the final game was created by human hands” … a few moments later … “oops, except for these genAI assets which ‘accidentally’ made it into the game”

Doing my bit to preserve classic books; rescued “Around the World in 80 Days” from a charity book stand. It’s not in the best of condition, but given it was awarded as a prize in 1924 it’s doing pretty well for being over 100 years old. #classicbooks #oldbooks #julesverne #aroundtheworldin80days

I often wonder if I’m somehow related to Terry Pratchett’s Trolls; the hotter I am the more my brain slows down and the stupider I feel, I also physically slow down to the point I could be mistaken for a rock!

Remember, lads, to check your rivets … though whilst waiting to cross the road is probably not the best time! #menshealth #testicularhealth #testicularcancer #testicularhealthmonth

A sign above a pedestrian crossing reading “pedestrians hold hand under and wait for signal to change” with a picture of a cupped hand, and two fastening rivets amusing placed so as to appear cupped in the hand.

I have that Breville book too, it’s great, but I really should try more of the ideas in it. I took it with me from home when I went to uni, along with my Grandfathers Breville toastie maker, which is still in full working order 30 years after I inherited it!

I went there with my son during half term. We both really enjoyed it: me for the nostalgia, and him for the engineering in the puppets! It’s great to see that it’s all being looked after, and shared for all to see, and not mouldering in landfill.

My son and I both enjoyed the excellent final show of this year’s Tales From The Guild Live tour; such a shame it was time limited, as I feel Johnny had more material they wanted to get through! @oxventure.bsky.social #oxventure

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

@cineworld.bsky.social anyone else think the amount of adverts is getting ridiculous? Adverts … trailers … adverts … “turn off your phone” … adverts … “enjoy the film” … adverts … film. It’s now over half an hour after the slated time before the film starts. How long before adverts between trailers?

I hadn’t realised Tom Lehrer was still around, but apparently he passed away yesterday, age 97. Given the current political climate, I think this is probably a fitting song to share! youtu.be/frAEmhqdLFs?...
