Before the Begining, But after The End, A Song of Sorrow, Rang out from a Heart, In need of Mend. Awoken alone, Only its Echo to Greet, Becoming the Mirror it Dreamed, Of who it might Meet. An so it fell into slumber, From exhausted heartache. Until the Cicadas arose, To bake it a birthday cake.

Pyke comes across a strange set of pictographs,
Pebble attempts to translate.

Long ago,
The Great Dragon was born of a confluence of moments.
From a Thought that contemplated itself.
In each division of Thought,
What is or isn't,
Could or would not,
Am&Amsnt,
And assorted corrupted or scatterd shot.

Until it formed a shell,
A wall of pictures an concepts it defined as self.
Until it wondered,
'What if i wasn't what i was?
Who would i be instead?'
So, it began to grow,
As its mind was its body.

It swelled with potential thought,
Growing so large,
Of all it could become.
Its memories of what it once knew before,
Now different,
Became the Flow of Time,
And cracked the shell it grew from.

Now 'free' of its self creation,
It screamed into the Dark.
'AM I ALONE?'
Was it's deepest ache to ask.
But as it's plea rippled into the Deepest Dark,
It got,
n0 reply.

It screamed until it could scream no more.
Falling into its own deep dark,
Of internal sorrow,
Of dreadful heartache.
Falling into slumber,
From which it expected never to wake.

But Time flowed in the Darkness,
Collecting the Dragons tears into Comets,
An soot into Worlds,
Lit by the remaining Stars of its Fiery scream,
When it tried to fill the Endless Dark.

An so as the Dragon slept,
Life sprang up in its wake.
But still did it live in a Nightmare,
For it still only 'knew' it was Alone.

The Cicadians were not the first Race,
But one of the Last to remain.
They watched as the Cosmos became quieter,
As life faded out.

A race of sleepers,
They dreamed along side the Great Dragon,
And became intimately aware of its Sorrow,
Of its great despair.

An so the Cicadians,
In a stoic act of mercy,
Saught a fight against Entropy,
A path to set the Dragons Heart free.

They created ARK,
A grand Starwhale,
To collect the fine dust of the Dead
And restore those who fell.

To ensure Somone
ANYONE
Will be around left standing,
To greet the Dragon when it next woke,
And prevent another Nightmare of Lonely Sorrow.
Forevermoar.

And welcomes the Novel experience of the Dark Shadow's 'threat'...
By calling its bluff.
