Pre-Release 4 (Update 5) Modders Warning Section Attached - Social (Friends) feature has been added & will be live soon! - Audio Occlusion has been implemented! This feature uses raycasting between sound sources and the listener, muffling audio depending on what materials divide the two.

Slikey sent us a few snippets of code for Hytale, I think that would be a head start. He also quoted that everything in the game is customizable from tools all the way to the animations!
