It's been awesome seeing the response to this tease about Wrapped! ^^ I've been so excited to bring in folks that have helped make the game even better ♥ Aiming to release in a little over a month (you know what day ;3) but in the meantime take a peak at how your characters could look in it!

WRAPPED! is a dice-based roleplaying game intended for two players, one who plays the role of a voracious serpentine Predator and another who gets to be their Prey. This game allows them to create a scene in which the Predator attempts to make the Prey their next meal, and the Prey attempts to resist becoming a bulge in the Predator’s body.

Each round of WRAPPED! involves the Predator and Prey individually choosing a move, the Prey making a dice roll, and the players determining the consequences of those choices and the roll. This could lead to conditions being added or removed from the Prey, bonuses for future rounds, or, if the Prey has been completely swallowed or managed to escape, the end of the game.

WRAPPED! is intended to add a degree of chance and strategy to scenes between Predator and Prey. It can be played straight if the players are interested in a quick, competitive game, or it can be integrated into a more elaborate roleplay scenario between the players. However you wish to play it, WRAPPED! will always leave you with a unique story of struggle, peril, and very likely, consumption.

You may notice that the rules of the game seem slightly skewed in the Predator’s favor. This is by design.

So have fun! And try your best not to get…WRAPPED!

$The following tables include all the available traits for Predator and Prey to choose from. If you can’t decide, try rolling a d12 and see what you get! You could always end up with a new character or fun variation on an existing one. Predator Traits 1 Aggressive-After the Prey succeeds on a Struggle Check, the next time they make the Resist move, the die the Predator rolls to determine the Struggle Check’s Difficulty on that round becomes a d8 instead of a d6. 2 Ambusher-The Prey cannot make a move on the game’s first round. 3 Constrictor-When the Predator makes the Squeeze move, they roll an additional d8 to be subtracted from the Prey’s stamina. 4 Drainer-When the Predator makes the Squeeze move, they gain an amount of stamina equal to half of the amount that is subtracted from the Prey (fractions round up). 5 Fanged-When the Prey makes the Pry move to attempt to remove the swallowed condition, the Difficulty of the Struggle Check increases by +2. 6 Goo-When the Predator makes the Swallow move, they may target any area of the Prey’s body regardless of which areas are already swallowed. 7 Hooded-When the Prey makes the Resist move against the Predator’s Hypnotize move, the Difficulty of the Struggle Check increases by +2. 8 Naga-After the Prey has chosen their move and effort die for the round, but before they roll the Struggle Check, the Predator may choose to expend an additional 16 stamina to increase the Difficulty of the Struggle Check by +2. 9 Potent-The die that the Predator rolls to increase the Difficulty of a Struggle Check after a successful Distract move becomes a d6 instead of a d4. 10 Synth-The Predator’s starting stamina becomes 60, their maximum stamina becomes 90, and their Regeneration Die becomes 1d12 + 8. 11 Tentacled-The Predator is able to keep up to three secondary areas of the Prey’s body coiled with repeated uses of the Lash move, rather than just one. 12 Venomous-The Predator is able to make the Bite move.$

Prey Traits

1 Amicable-After the Prey fails a Struggle Check, the next time they make the Resist move, the die the Predator rolls to determine the Resist Difficulty on that round becomes a d4 instead of a d6.

2 Appendaged-The Prey gains an additional secondary area on their body, which has the same benefits as a single arm when not coiled or swallowed. This new secondary area is connected to a primary area of the Prey’s choice.

3 Brawny-The bonus to the next Struggle Check that the Prey receives for successfully making the Squirm move increases from +2 to +4.

4 Clawed-When the Prey fails a Struggle Check, they may choose to spend an additional 8 stamina to retroactively add a d4 to their roll, potentially changing the result to a success.

5 Cute-The Prey gains +2 to the Struggle Check when they make the Appeal or Thrash move.

6 Energized-The Prey’s starting stamina becomes 40, their maximum stamina becomes 60, and their Regeneration Die becomes 1d12 + 2.

7 Equipped-After the Prey rolls a Struggle Check, they roll a d8. The Prey can choose to add the result of this roll to their Struggle Check, however once they have done so they are unable to benefit from this bonus again for the rest of the game.

8 Heavy-Three primary areas of the Prey’s body, rather than two, must have the coiled or swallowed condition in order for the Predator to make the Swallow move.

9 Horned-One primary area of the Prey’s body is covered in sharp horns or spines. The Prey gains +2 to the Struggle Check when they make the Resist move to avoid that area becoming coiled or swallowed.

10 Slick-The Prey gains +2 to the Struggle Check when they make the Pry move.

11 Stubborn-The Prey gains +2 to the Struggle Check when they make the Resist move to avoid gaining a level of the hypnotized condition.

12 Taur-The Prey gains an additional primary area of their body for hind legs. Both sets of legs must be coiled or swallowed in order for the leg modifiers on the Prey Body Areas table to be...

Effective hypnosis is about saying things that are true and then saying things that are like -- PLAUSIBLE. "Aww, you're turned on, aren't you? That just makes you easier to hypnotize." The first part is true (or an educated guess). The second part is SORT OF true, but believable -- a suggestion.

Here's a short-lived hypno OC to tide you over. He's an eldritch abomination that causes mass panic and disasters through mass hypnosis with the eyes all over his body. He came to me in a dream beside three other such monsters. I wonder how he ever made it past his infant stage...
