@fuk-t.bsky.social born before color tv too. I remember getting my first crappy little black and white portable with rabbit ears, and 6 channels, counting two for pbs, and we thought that was pretty much the ultimate in technology. Of course, we hadn’t gotten to the age of renting VCR players…

The interesting thing about these paintings, for me, always gotta put in the “for me” part, is that they actually pull you in. And the more I look the more stuff I see. Which of course makes you look more. 👀

I self published one novel after trying like hell to get an agent (querying). I think I ended up gifting more copies than I sold. Which is fine. I was never equipped to churn out a novel or two a year and I think that is what traditional agents and publishers want.
