Here's a preview of some upcoming work: reverse image search across the atmosphere, powered by perceptual hashing.

Anyone with the extension will see your claim whenever that image is shared. And because your claim lives as a signed record in your PDS, there's cryptographic proof you authored it.
Screenshot of the same post as before, but now there are claims shown below it, adding more information and contradicting the post.

Getting started is easy. Install the extension and a "Claim" button will appear in the top-right corner of images in your feed. Click, type your claim, and submit!

A modal titled Pollen Claim covers the post, and the user has filled in to a text box a description of the image, contradicting the original poster.

Did you know that you can share your @smokesignal.events RSVPs in your spores.garden? Who else is going to #ATmosphereConf 2026? 👀

We wouldn't have been able to build this feature (and many of our backlinking features) without @bad-example.com's fantastic work on Constellation! We think it's critical to back our stack, so we made a small donation to show our love. Thank you Phil!

When someone steals a spore, the client adds a record to that person’s PDS containing a backlink to the originator’s garden. When clicked, spores.garden displays an ordered list of all the other records containing that backlink. See how this spore has travelled?
A teal rectangle reading "This rare spore travels from garden to garden. Follow its journey!" above a pink outlined flower and a vertical list of other gardens. A black box at the bottom reads "capture the spore!"

When spores.garden generates your theme, it also determines if you get a special spore✨. It will be displayed in your garden to start, but other gardeners can steal it, enabling it to travel throughout the network of gardens! Can you find any spores in the wild?

Add your writing, reposts, and records to your spores.garden! Hit the upper right EDIT to open up edit mode, then add sections at the bottom of your page. You can add custom content via Markdown or HTML, new images, or repost existing things from Bluesky, Leaflet, or Standard.Site, or Smoke Signal.

Not a blog, not a website builder, not a social media. Spores.garden is a cozy place to highlight whatever is important to YOU. Write new posts, share images, and bring together your ideas from across the Atmosphere by editing and adding new sections to your garden.

We built you a garden! Spores.garden is a personal site where you can curate your thoughts and explore other people’s gardens by following a trail of digital flowers. We’re still building and adding to it, so let us know what you like and what features you’d want to see!

It in fact is Sora! Our prompt: "Marilyn Monroe in a boxy toteme coat, linking arms with Nixon and Mao as the three of them walk through the forbidden city. Nixon is drinking a bubble tea. Mao has a chain hanging off his belt, it looks kinda punk rock."

This photo is AI generated (gasp!) If bluesky didn't strip its C2PA provenance metadata, you would be able to download the image from our post and paste it into verify.contentauthenticity.org to obtain this chain of provenance

The work Camille Acey is doing with The Wind Down is really necessary - especially in a culture that is so focused on novelty and newness. Take a look at these beautiful cards from the Tending to Endings project: www.wind-down.org/community-of...

We've been stuck in a cycle where tech companies mine our data without us really giving consent. We need to shift from accepting data extraction to a mindset that prioritizes literacy and un-blackboxing the digital tools that are currently most successful.
