A tweet by @davedittel (“the garbage shit boy”) from 12 Dec 2015 that reads “if you fuck up a meal just call it Chicago style and serve it anyway”.

A tweet from @/laterundulator. It is captioned “AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!”. Attached is an image of a menacing looking skull model. Its appearance makes it look like it’s screaming angrily.

Maybe it’s just meant to be a simply background decoration, similar to the blue disk in Sonic 1’s Zone title cards?

An example of a Zone title card from Sonic the Hedgehog (1991). There is a blue disk behind the text.

Rip Rare Donkey Kong. You will not be missed. At least by me. Seriously Rare DK is such a relic of early 3D that I’m so surprised it stuck for over 30 years. The movie design is definitely an improvement. DK94 DK still clears though.

A 2D illustration of Donkey Kong holding up a barrel and grinning evilly, from Donkey Kong ‘94 for the Game Boy.

Splats sprite by paveldechev0604 Inspired by this remix: youtu.be/zCp3jBsHigk?... #sonic #pixelart #mockup

A mockup screenshot of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Master System. It takes place in Hidden Palace Zone, a scrapped Zone from the Mega Drive version of Sonic 2. Sonic is standing still near the left side of the screen. Several stacks of rings are seen up ahead, one stack suspended high above the ground, and one only a little bit above the ground and slightly off-screen. Splats the Bunny, a badnik, is bouncing towards Sonic. The background depicts several caverns obscured by stalagmites and stalactites.

It's a little project called Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Proto-Mix! It's a sequel to a project of ours that was recently as SHC (which you can check out here: shc.zone/entries/cont...) We still have quite a bit of stuff to do, but progress is looking good! I'm the chief level designer for it.

A screenshot of the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Proto-Mix, taking place in Sand Shower Zone. Sonic is standing next to a large cactus with a large brown flower on top.

I could never get past this level in Rockman 1. Those praying mantises are the worst. #rockman #megaman #sonicthehedgehog #pixelart

A mockup for a potential stage from Rockman (1987), modelling after Metropolis Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992). Rockman is walking towards a ledge, where on top is a Slicer enemy. The background features pistons, gears, and wheels.

May as well post old stuff from a while ago now that I'm here Inspired by this remix: youtu.be/4LCS-nliAjo?...

Mockup of a stage from Sonic the Hedgehog (1991). Sonic is seen running on metal ground taken from Scrap Brain Zone, towards a cactus-themed bomb enemy. The sky is a dark brass colour, with dunes in the background and cacti laid about the landscape, which is taken from a scrapped Zone from Sonic 2, Sand Shower Zone.
