My prose has definitely taken a hit from social distancing. I like being alone, with people. Being around strangers, unmarked by a mask, did something for my writing that I now have to do without. Count that as another avoidable loss to the pandemic.

Whenever im stuck in a loop around determining the best next step for a big writing project, I journal a question and answer session with myself. It’s a lot harder to get stuck in repetition when you’ve got to hand write your thoughts.

My cookbook is far from a completed draft, but I love and believe in rhe project so much that I’ve developed a strategy to get it traditionally published. The plan: elaborate, absurd, and demanding. The market: dead. If I succeed, it will be partially because I don’t know enough now not to try :)

Made deadline on a technicality. 4 active cuticle infections, some kind of conjunctivitis flair, and disfiguring eczema flair. Choosing to believe some of that’s the accumulative effect of having a hectic summer, rather than me needing to slow down.
