Indeed it's mostly a question of time. But I wish I had a better idea of what I can do to make myself more visible, that's not just "making more songs".

150

HYKARVS @hykarvs.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

It really feels like I could 'easily' reach every opportunity that's in the more underground scene, cause my style convinces most people. But at the same time there's nothing I can do that could make me appear in the bigger scene, cause like who the fuck am I?

150

HYKARVS @hykarvs.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

There are of course explanations, as I'm definitely a young, underground artist with a distinctive style. It might also be due to me not marketing myself properly or not releasing on "known" labels But still, my reach is almost exclusively underground, which is frustrating from a career standpoint

140

HYKARVS @hykarvs.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

It's funny how I'm somewhat invisible in the scene. Like, a lot of people know about my stuff and talk about it which makes me feel included and settled But at the same time no one knows I exist and sometimes it feels like I'm considered independently from the rest

HYKARVS @hykarvs.bsky.social · 20/10/2024

It's hard to capture and explain what's going on in my head when I write music but here's a good example of me turning a simple chord progression into a funkier one and saying everything I think about (very chaotic)
