remember when people were joking about florida being the caelid of the US somehow I'm only now learning about our phosphogypsum stacks which are mountains of (mildly) radioactive gypsum with lakes of acid on top that come as byproducts from producing phosphate for fertilizer. yeah, caelid coded.

Diagram for a dual toggle control for an audio balance module in the empress zoia that blends dry signal (or just a non-reverbed set of delays in the case of the patch I'm working on) with a reverb in a 0%/100% binary (so just on/off basically, the actual mix of the reverb is controlled separately) set up to be toggled with both a button module and a footswitch if the zoia is in performance mode.

The button and footswitch modules, both set to momentary rather than latching are sent through a logic gate set to XOR (exclusive OR) which is then passed to a flip flop module, that signal is finally sent to the mix control of the audio balance module that mixes the dry signal and reverb. The logic gate and flip flop modules prevent the signals from the button and footswitch locking the mix to ON and stopping each other from changing the mix state.

"This is technically redundant but I like making zoia patches that are functional both in a desktop studio setting and live on a pedal board."

signal routing for a zoia preset using 3 separate audio balance modules to mix reverse delay, granular delay, and a modulated reverb in separate stages. I didn't realize preserving a clean separate path for the dry signal only up through the first 2 balance modules seemed weird until now and I could probably make the excuse that doing it this way allows the entirety of the delay segments to by bypassed with the main wet/dry knob so that the patch can be used purely for reverb if desired but that's not a good excuse lol.
