UPDATE 4 Southern Manitoba, Sept. 25: The convoy will remain in Rosa for the time being while the shipper works through some logistics south of the border. As a result, the remaining outages along Highway 59 to the border have been postponed. A new date will be shared once it's confirmed. #mboutage

As temperatures cool and home heating systems begin running, Manitoba Hydro is reminding Manitobans to take steps to prevent carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.

(2/3) ✅ Install a carbon monoxide alarm on every level of your home and near sleeping areas. ✅ Test your alarms regularly and replace them according to the manufacturer's recommendations. ✅ Have your natural gas appliances, fireplaces and wood stoves inspected annually.

A convoy transports massive empty storage tanks across Manitoba. The shipment consists of eight tanks manufactured in Alberta, each standing about eight metres tall, roughly the height of a two-storey building, as they make their way to port for overseas export.

Last week, members of the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board and executive team visited Misipawistik Cree Nation and Chemawawin Cree Nation to listen, learn, and strengthen relationships with communities impacted by Grand Rapids Generating Station. (1/3)

Misipawistik Cree Nation Chief Heidi Cook tells Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board members and executives how the Manitoba Hydro Generating Station spillway has changed her First Nation’s land.   Manitoba Hydro operates the Grand Rapids Fish Hatchery to produce Lake Sturgeon for stocking on the upper and lower Nelson River. The hatchery also rears Walleye fry that are released into the Saskatchewan River. Chemawawin Cree Nation (CCN) leadership shows Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board members and executives burial grounds at the Old Post, the original site of CCN before Grand Rapids flooding displaced their community.
