I thought my husband's retreat ended at 11. I was surprised I didn't hear from him so I checked the joint calendar. It ends at 2 and is an hour away... I guess I'm solo parenting most of today too.

I was just on the highway and 4yo says her car seat came unbuckled. I ask how and she says she doesn't know. So I get off at the next exit and pull into a medical complex parking lot to rebuckle her. I open her door and it's buckled already. She laughs and says "I told a joke!" 😑

I just had a wild realization. When I was a teen, I was in a youth group (cult). We would hang out in someone's basement, talk about god, and then go to Applebees. Then I drank myself to oblivion so that I could sit in a church basement, talk about god, and then go to a diner.

Guys, my 4yo was so shy last year that she didn't talk for the first THREE MONTHS of preschool. She also didn't seem to click with anyone in particular. I was worried that would be the case again this year. But she is socializing! And apparently this kid Theo said Olivia is his best friend! 🥹😭
