Sadly Canada has Christian Science - where you can pay for someone to pray for your healing as the central belief is that illness is a spiritual error or illusion healed with spiritual understanding. A friend who is now an actor publicly spoke of his past experiences with this.

Yes in Canada all elections you have anonymity - you can say who you vote for but only outside of the polling stations. It's more of an etiquette than a law. I have family members you never know who they voted for and they change depending on the politics of the time due to multi party options.

I was thinking since they exist in North America perhaps there's that option in the USA which isn't yet recognized officially or may emerge in the future (but, I also recognize even as the third party in a multi party system the Canadian impacts in Parliament are quite different vs 2 party system).

Canada (being further left than American democracy from what I can tell as a layperson) has a further left than liberal party (NDP) but they haven't been federally elected yet since their inception in 1962 (only provincially elected one time each and in not all provinces total).

My Canadian is showing but - can't a new party just form, one that is not Republicans and not Democrats? Could capture those voters who aren't far left or far right. It just seems it would be more functional - the crowds going out to see AOC and Bernie, they seem to have found a large audience?

www.scientificamerican.com/article/ozon... I grew up listening to the dangers of CFCs and the need to take care of the only home we have. As an adult I heard Tim Harford's Cautionary Tale "The Inventor Who Almost Ended the World" We need to celebrate innovation and pursue positive climate impacts.

Even a well intentioned invention can have severe unforseen consequences.

The global response which included the 1987 Montreal protocol led to a worldwide ban on CFCs and prevented an even greater catastrophe.

Many see the rapid decisive action taken to address the ozone hole as a hopeful precedent for dealing with the much larger and much more complex issue of climate change.

It's a good question. He has said in other posts he gave to our country and now is giving back to his family, from time sacrificed for many years (decades? during his political career. I think one can serve their country through investing in the next generation starting with those closest to them.

Yes my kids say he is cat hardware running dog software 😂 He even goes on leash walks. Definitely high energy - he is thankful to have a very busy household to entertain him. He will vocally call for us pretty much throughout the day if he is bored or lonely. He brings me toys at night.

I have had cats in my home my whole life and yet only recently started learning about Bengals. I think ours (rescue, age 3y) is part Bengal by markings, body shape, fur texture and behaviour 🤣 His siblings are tabbies.

There's definitely a large population (75 million ish vs 75 million ish vs 90 million ish if you look at only voting records) at a crossroads... I'm not sure which direction it will eventually follow. As a CDN living in the US for the next few years? We have stocked up on rice and beans.
