resurrection one-shot, 3.3k words, hundred line eito POV fic during retsnom route, canon compliant archiveofourown.org/works/81529561

screenshot of the synopsis of the fic, resurrection by Lord_Maple on Ao3:

For seventeen years, Eito Aotsuki walked through life without a guide. No parents, no friends--just relying on traces left behind in books to light the way down the righteous, divine path.

It was at Last Defense Academy where the divine met him, waiting at border of life and death.

The Retsnom route through Eito's eyes.

i finished shuten order 🔥 man it really is a shame how bad the launch was bc this game from a writing standpoint is peak cinema

000

hagen @hwagenuwu.bsky.social · 16/09/2025

I've also done shuten's security route, but I don't have much to say although the route itself is serviceable. I wish the gameplay was harder, but I understand something more hardcore might scare off the intended audience. I like the twist and, uh, peak yuri 💥🎉

i finished shuten order's science route a while ago but i finally wrote down all of my thoughts because wow

+ Rei's characterization in Science route is very strong and it depicted how her compassion moved others very well
+ Teko is very well written whether it be about his guilt, his bond with Arale, his need for friendship despite cutting it off, etc. etc.

Ku and Seren were really good exclusive characters for Science route, especially Seren, who is a very good foil for Teko

Seren is tragic to me. She is selfish in a way that she doesn't even realize despite believing in equilibrium and I find that fascinating.

Science route deserves all the type it got, I just wished you could switch between choices without have to go back into the scenario because there is no way to back out back into the menu without completing the scene

ok slept on it, so posting thoughts on my first shuten order route-- the ministry of education, honoka kokushikan

Screenshot on my thoughts on Shuten Order's Education route plot reveals-- I can't fit it all in alt text, but the general sentiment is that I was impressed with the foreshadowing via fluff dialogue and tiny hints leading up to the big reveals of this route despite how much of it was dedicated to romancing girls.

Thoughts on the main content of the Education route-- I thought it was an interesting way to inform Honoka's characterization and her desire for understanding through this strange format that blurs between her real self and her masks. I don't know if the source of her obsession has to do with a subconscious attraction to Rei's similarities to the Founder after the Founder's death (literally why else pick her out and invite her based off of nothing), but whatever it is, I think there is something to chew on about Rei's rebirth coinciding with Honoka's rekindled ambitions as an opportunity to gain the understanding/romance she craves deep down.

Summary: Infinite has sex with Eggman. Somehow, it's not the worst decision he ever made.
But that doesn't mean it was good.

fat mood, like low key, I can't stand rereading my own writing after I post it unless I'm double checking something. Part of it is just being harsher on yourself than others, but I swear there's something about looking at that drains energy

do you guys have like, a fic from a past fandom/fandom you're not as active in anymore that you still check back on every so often bc it's just that good for me it's the best timeline (fe3h) and the magician (hetalia, and back on ff dot net, too)

tfw reading a 3h fic as a person who appreciates all three lords + rhea (for all their merits and flaws) and getting to the part where it's the author's "hot take" on why X is stupid and wrong but in fic form 😔
