Forgot about this place for a bit. What lovely hobby about

Also totally forgot to post here, last week I went to a tabletop tactics tournament, played Spearhead, From Ashes, Lorcana and then saw Less than Jake who were freaking amazing. A damn fine few days! #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #warhammer40000 #spearhead #fromashes

Traditional pre tournament beverage. 3 mins later had to run inside as the sky flooded but was a nice 3 mins

All done!49 days from sprue to tabletop, with 4 days to spare.Did a lot of new painting stuff with this army as it has bits from 24 years collecting + I have a better idea about how to take my time with the next army #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #warhammerconversions

One silly model per army trend continues with Hatemonger the Heavy Intersessor. He goes forth to find the Xenos and give them a Hatemace enema. No lube. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #warhammerconversions #spaceking #hatemonger #deathwatch

Tonight is the night, while outside the hobby desk chaos reigns as a 10 year olds birthday sleepover happens to my house, safe with my VCR and pint of fizz, I finish this army. Sort of. With 4 days to spare! #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #warhammerpainting #deathwatch

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 18/02/2026

Started in the 18th of Jan, “finished” the bodies on the 18th of Feb. Still got the bases to do and theres lots of little details like lamps to do but this is the biggest part done. Not a bad effort for me #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammerpainting #warhammer40000 #deathwatch #warhammer40k

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 13/02/2026

Been a busy 4 days highlighting black. So much black. Am I happy with it? No. But am I getting better at it? Also no. Still 12 days until the event and no faces, eyes, lenses or capes done. Or bases. Wibble. #warhammercommunity #warhammer #warhammer40000 #warhammer40000 #deathwatch

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 10/02/2026

Still not taking enough time to do these properly (or still suck at smooth highlight’s) but the army is coming along! Up to this stage on all but the last 16 odd gravis troops now. 16 days to go though #warhammer #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #warhammercommunity #warhammerconversions #deathwatch

0151

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

Really trying with these guys to do better highlighting, still not there but a darn sight better than the last army. Already rushed this army so it wont be my best painted so next army will be done better #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #warhammer40000 #warhammerpainting #deathwatch

0192

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 27/01/2026

Started the deathwatch arm highlights last night. As usual ive left the project too late and I wont be able to try and paint the army like I wanted but its not too bad so far #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammerconversions #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #warhammerpainting

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

By the nine how do I have all these paints and I don’t have one sodding pot of Retributor gold?!?! #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40000 #warhammerpainting

020

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 23/01/2026

Base coats down and washed! All the details barring a few odd bits like power weapons are ready to highlight, which will be the time eater on this project. 35 days to the event. Going to be a push that thats for sure #warhammer #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #warhammercommunity #warhammerpainting

071

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 21/01/2026

And thats the base coats on the last 25 done (apart from shoulder pads mind). Going to take a evening to figure out what shades to use on the various bits and then shading the 75 models begins. With 38 days to go! #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammerconversions #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #

061

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 20/01/2026

Still chipping away at basecoats, did another 25 models worth so just 25 more to go. Then of course, washes and highlights but im doing them in a order so the army is tabletop if not fully painted. Hopefully. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammerconversions #warhammer40k #deathwatch

0111

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

Base coats on 1/3 of the list is nearly done with 39 days to go. Still a long way to go with the shades and highlights to go an still not sure if its achievable. Mental health taking a beating at the moment and its a lot of work #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #warhammer40000 #warhammer40kpainting

Trying to decide on the layers to highlight the huge amount of black I need to do. This was a rush paint to get the colours right, think it looks ok.The actual highlight will take ages as I suck at edge highlights #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k#warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #deathwatch

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 11/01/2026

There he is, last model built of this project. Il spare you the naff scaled cloak which will be replaced but 8 days to build the 75, inly 47 days to paint before the event. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammerconversions #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #deathwatch

Mind you starting to get a sinking feeling about this project. This is a lot of models to paint in a few weeks and not sure its doable without doing crap paint jobs #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #warhammer40000 #warhammerconversions #deathwatch

Very quick and rushed Deathwatch Judicar today at lunch, not sure its worked the way I thought it would but will do for now. Tonight I think il try and do a fun model to break up the pace of this project #warhammer #warhammerconversions #warhammercommunity #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #deathwatch

Last night only got another 5 done and they are my one of the heroes bodyguard. Only downside is all the cool Kill Team Cassius bits I saved only to find out the scale is ridiculous. They are so tiny the bodies are unusable sigh #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k

Quick 1 evening build and paint, a zombie for the Undead Imperium. Last model before I start my last army of 10th edition, tho painting this white, blue and blood reeeeeeally is making me think loyalist World Eaters #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k #warhammer40000 #zombies #undead

Also fun little side project, the cover art of the Dark Angel is on of my favourite images in 40k so I tried to make a wee srg who looks the same. If I had time Id sculpt robes are well but I reckon hes looking alright #warhammer #warhammer40000 #warhammercommunity #warhammerpainting #warhammertv

Pulled pretty much a all nighter last night so as well as Azrael I also built the Intersessor squad baring a helm I need to find, sorted all the various watchers in the dark and started on the Lion. #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #warhammerpainting

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 07/10/2025

That leaves Azrael Wednesday, the Lion Thursday, Build and Paint a Intercessor squad Friday, and base on Saturday. Very much going to be paying with still drying models me thinks

Husker @husker2236.bsky.social · 07/10/2025

Battle ready standard done. Not happy with them as need to do all the highlights and redo the red before id call them finished but that will have to wait due to the deadline. 5 days to go and all that. #cuttingitclose #warhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #warhammerpainting
