I’m looking for the original article but this states the same that was covered by NBC10 News just last week. PA has Tax Autonomy allowing them to delay or decouple from federal tax changes that adversely affect the state taxes.

A delay in implementing federal tax changes in Pennsylvania has allowed some taxpayers to benefit from larger refunds this year because they are still eligible for previous deductions and credits that were set to be reduced or eliminated. This situation has resulted in many taxpayers receiving refunds that are higher than they would have under the new tax rules.

The NYPD mourns the loss of Police Officer Sorffly Davius, who passed away yesterday as a result of a medical episode while deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Epic Fury.

Officer Davius served in the 42nd Infantry Division in the U.S. Army National Guard and rose to the rank of Major.
In 2014, he began his service with the NYPD where he was assigned to the 79th Precinct.
