Killer Mike said he takes from Thomas Sowell and Malcolm X and that didn’t make people question his takes.

His politics are so representative of the people who too many of us see as “serious”.

The way Russophobia has people thinking Ukraine is just this helpless country. Meanwhile it’s helping to suppress liberation movements in Latin America and Africa.

I’ve had two conversations recently where I was basically told that Black immigrants are exceptional and can secure the bag in the U.S.

It’s crazy to me, but I find that so many of us do this. It’s not just an American thing either.

cause to just go along with what Americanness® itself demands and purports as a culture is to sign up to willfully be enslaved. they've only changed the format of slavery but it ain't gone nowhere.

people still mentally owned by the descendants of who owned their ancestors and have no interest in questioning it 😓

Good point! Between the menticide we’ve been put through, how this society does not encourage curiosity and everything is disposable I can see this.

One thing I notice about the Black diaspora is no one in it feels they are influenced by U.S. propaganda yet that propaganda influences what we think of each other.

It’s one thing to say you identify with white Americans more than Black folks outside the diaspora. It’s another to feel no obligation to do something about that.

And the way these types basically force themselves into Black communities. Always gotta ask why they care so much about people and community they don’t live in. Although they are the same people who gentrify these communities nowadays.

My parents have downsized and dealing with their shit has made me look at my own consumerism. I don’t want to leave my family to deal with this shit.

The USSR liberated Eastern Europe. And as Triploi said here, it is so important to study and understand historical materialism, because you need to look at the actual, tangible, real world results of what both the Soviet Union and the West did, to fully understand the reality of the situation.

As someone who has been both fat and skinny, I think the biggest thing that stood out to me was how invisible it feels to be fat. You get ignored by store clerks and wait staff. Just glazed over and passed by. It's part of that looks bias. It's so empowering just to be SEEN at all.

My issue is that the bad part never comes and the positive experiences dominate the conversation. We can’t tell these experiences without talking about others.

I wish yall would talk to your parents and grandparents about how shit wasn’t sweet for them in the North during segregation. This myth gotta die.

Right!!! But that’s how a lot of us think. Or they would not think you’re from Africa if you arent dark-skinned with an African name.

you know it’s funny how mainstream shopping at the health food store, wearing natural hair, and other aesthetics have become that were once things the politically aware or pan-african Black folks did.

this is funny because Black people have thought my mother was from Africa just because she wore West African clothes.

There’s also the opportunity inequality part. Deindustrialization started a few years after the 1965 immigration act and the economic growth of the country was concentrated on the coasts and sun belt.

You are right about blending in. That comes into this. Then there’s appearance too. That’s part of the blending in.

maybe because I grew up on the NW I feel like this. There were a Jamaican carryout spot in my neighborhood. I had teachers that were Black but not from the US. Then there were my parents friends.

Hearing Black Americans who are not from the East or West Coast say they weren’t exposed to Black people from the Caribbean, Africa, or Central or South America feels odd to me. On one hand I see it and understand why but on the other hand i’m like how does this happen.

The midterm campaign ads I see are ridiculously out of touch. The consultants and campaigns don’t seem to understand the youngest voters were born in 2008. These ads seem to think Boomers and boomer adjacent GenXers still have the same numbers. That the last 3 generations are broke.

Right! A home is an asset and not a place for shelter.
010
Humble_One @humbleone.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
U.S. propaganda tells the world it’s the “land of opportunity”. To its citizens its home, but to people that want to get on, it’s an opportunity. When people come to a place to get on they’ll interact with it differently than it just being home.

That video makes me think of the lazy stereotype about African-Americans in the diaspora. It’s divisive. Also, I wish more of us understood how people view Western Countries especially the U.S. under global capitalism.

Don’t understand buying a house or car and keeping the next owner in mind. Decorating your house or choosing options for your car for the next owner.

I said capital punishment, but I didn’t mean it in the same context as the U.S. carrying out state executions. There’s a difference between U.S. executing its marginalized citizens and a country like China liquidating its citizens in a CIA spy network.

Humble_One @humbleone.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Revolutionary punishment. Not capital punishment or death penalty like the U.S.
001
Humble_One @humbleone.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Also I don’t see how you defend a revolution without capital punishment as long as the imperialists are always attacking you.

Humble_One @humbleone.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
This is a good question for revolution because you can’t get free without capital punishment.
