Death to the Storm King. Based on a chapter of "Sunset S. Vs the Multiverse" by @dapperlilarts.bsky.social @ FimFiction. Been wanting to draw something about it since I read it. It had a very strong imagery which I want to do justice, didn't do bad with this one I think.

Sunset Shimmer is half engulfed in flames as she lands a strike against a stormking troop.
The droplets clash on the muddy courtyard as the barracks burn in the background.

#Took some liberties, making it anthro and making Sunset's fire be actually burning her and maybe even using her as fuel. Can't remember if it was stated or implied, it's been sometime since I read it.

After long and excruciating thinking and tinkering I figured out python enough to make a sprite system for the mouth and eyes (Dynamic! as in easily adding more frames/states) Also redid the whole character, new cleaner topology too, say hello to Cracker ^^

Cracker is an anthropomorphic red reptile-like mammal. a lighter tan or orange accents her eyes akin to eyeshadow, chest and underside of her tail. Small freckles-like dark dots decorate her face.
Her hair is hard similar to quills or scales.

Cracker crossing her arms, her hand in H like positions. As the determination on her face declares she is going to punish you in the name of the moon!

##The woeful reality is she is not finished, i got really tired of Blending(Blendering?) and she still lacks a proper rig, eyebrows, and actual mouth frames that weren't made as a quick placeholder. It is not clear how long will it be until the deed is resumed and done.

Didn't had a good idea for the background so i just let it be. Cyber-psycho Sunset fights viciously with the enforcement units.

Anthro Sunset Shimmer holds a police men down. An offscreen agent shots his shotgun into Sunset, she dodges late but the full blunt of the attack is missed narrowly.

Sunset's upgrades usually black now glow a faint red, two thin arms sprung from them each with blades looking kind of like wings.

After some trial and retries. I present a scene from "Song of memory" i wanted to draw. It came out, which is what matters and i hope it conveys something similar to what i felt when i read it. Also there is a filtered one that looks like a Deathnote scene and the floor plan of Wallflower's shack.

Wallflower's shack floor plan as i interpreted from Dapper's writing.
I used a room from my house as dimension reference once i figured they were pretty similar in size. Conclusion? The shack is smaller than this sketch makes it look like.
Also i made a 3d model but just for reference, i may turn it into a proper environment and then maybe do something with the anthropony models... who knows...

Had the idea and urge to make Cyberpunk Sunset and Wallflower. Quick concept really, i have another idea for an illustration.

Sunset's arms and legs are augmented with a obsidian and gold finish.

Wallflower has just one augmentation (her right arm) and is cheap and incomplete looking. Her clothes are dirty, disheveled and with a few holes.

Twilight finds herself in a pickle, despite her discomfort she knows help is on the way... she knows it. Had this idea for this scene (gotta use those models someday) and liked this frame so i fleshed it out. The scene is from PSGiaB by Dapperlilart @ fimfiction—Shut it, i am not obsessed ok?

From a low angle we can see Twilight Sparkle fret at the realisation of her current predicament, tied with chains in the middle of a weird place she looks around worried. Shadows can be seen from afar, many of them.

I am not this good with angles (and perspective) so i cheated and made a rough 3d reference in Nomad. I think i fucked up arm lenght proportion so the left arm looks weird, luckily it gets hidden by wing and shadows.

Couldn't help myself but draw Wallflower. The little rascal is too cute to not act upon it so i conjured my mindseye and materialized these. In the forest one i photobashed for the first time and liked the result, gonna try again surely. Based in "Song of memory" by @dapperlilarts.bsky.social

The background was made possible by photobashing some photos i took.
The most untouched one is the floor and dirt and some brush strokes are pretty noticeable up close.

Wallflower prothesis had me pondering a bit and decided to cut her leg slightly higher than where it seems to be in Dapper's illustrations. And the design was lazy and straight forward, after everything else was done i realized i should had made it a little more intricate. Should have added a bit of volume to the hinge brace thingy.

## Also i haven't upgraded my mind's eye so b&w it is, the third party color convertor gives me a killer headache.

The photo was too noticeable and instead decided to use the photo for reference and did a half decent foreground "bush", it makes no sense but it gives the illusion that it could make sense... Don't look at it for long, look at Wally instead...

Even if used to waking up early, some days the sore muscles don't help. I don't usually like lineart, but i tried to imitate the width variation i usually get when doing pencil like things. It does add more volume even if lacking any shading, or so i think.

Tigress from Kung Fu Panda taking a big stretch, her both arms up. One stretching as far as possible, the other pressing against her head.
She is naked though fur provides the necessary warm before getting ready for the day.
//As i stated; the lineart does add volume but the real difference was the color. Before it the lineart still looked plain, not sure why but it was a good surprise.

Sunset has hit the gym, quite literally, she probs broke the building down. She has hair now too, and looks pretty goode... or so i tell myself. Tho might need more mustard, in low res it is less visible. Paladin Sunset Shimmer is from @dapperlilarts.bsky.social 's "forgotten sun" fanfics saga.

//After some good procrastination and much pondering, i thought of a way to make her hair. It is very similar to Cracker's hair (The red kobold i uploaded about before), it is of course less uniform and has some displacement modifiers aswell as some solidify action (like Twilight's hair).

///Her hair is rather short, it is because I didn't want to risk not liking the way the workflow was. Turns out i think i might have found my definitive hair making workflow.
Also it doesn't look bad, i kinda like it like this and I'm not sure yet of the 3d shape of the longer hair.

//Sunset buffing up wasn't particularly hard and i had it done last week, it did made me add more detail to the mesh which taught me a bit more about topology as it made me leave my comfort vertex count. Also fix some spots here and there where the loops where very out of order.

After perishing the (stoopid) thought of remaking the anthroponies models from scratch i tried my hand at better armor, and it came out nicely. Tho i haven't found good ref of the other parts so i am battling with the torso and doing guess work of how it actually attaches and moves.

Haven't done much lately, worked a bit on too many different things. Anyway, many ideas... as always. Below is a Trix design i have been thinking about for a while, like a third iteration (previous ones were hoomans) but i don't remember the others very much.

Trixie Lulamoon the traveling magician.

Striking an odd pose she tries hard for her purple cape to flow with the little wind there is.
She wears a leather chest plate with a intricate cross pattern. A short pink vest and baggy pants tightened at the ankles with more leather. (I guess this anthro ponies are more okay with leather usage)

Been trying expressions with textures, i might try to pull it off with the mouth too as i seem to have an idea of how. Also really proud of the way i made her hair, took some thought but it was worth it. This little goober is not finished yet (as everything i do is), i got her as an adopt btw.

I really liked a certain way a certain fanfic ended ("Forgotten Sun" by @dapperlilarts.bsky.social) cough. I really like the idea that recruitment posters depicting Sunset still exist somewhere and ponies keep wondering who that orange unicorn is. It took long to make this and it tested my patience.

## The letters were a real challenge, i haven't written in freehand since so long but this required some classy handmade letters. Not the best but i think they look gode.
#I had a few other slogans but this one was simpler and shorter so it disguised my lack of knowledge about graphic design. Another one was "Be the wall that keeps the dark out" but i am not sure they would reference the Umbrum so directly.

## I totally made Luna's fur way lighter than it was, i painted her first and looked at reference once i began with Celestia so it was a bit late. At the end i wasn't up to making Luna all over again. I guess i was thinking of EG's Luna.

## This took so long and the scale of this project showed clearly the limits of my phone, if it weren't so comfy to draw in bed i would probably never attempt something of this scale on this weak ahh device again. (i still love it)
#Also i am sure there are more efficient ways to paint this but i still have so much to learn

## It doesn't show but the royal guard armor doesn't have the side hip plates Sunset's has, but it ended up looking pretty samey if not for the color. I have to broaden my armor horizons.

It's been a while since i uploaded and the thing i was making could still be improved because i can be more of a perfectionist. Instead i drop these ones i won't elaborate more, these are concepts i want to make in 3d but still haven't do so. They are based on Dapperlilarts "Forgotten Sun" universe.

An old temple in ruins built into a mountain.
The room is wide and a various passages are visible. In the middle of the room, surrounded in darkness stands a tall creature.

##The temple still leaves a lot to be desired, I'm not sure how a temple looks but i will look it up when i get to it. This one is more about Sunset's feelings while trapped in there.

The paladin Shimmer carries princess Twilight down a flight of stairs. Sunset supervises the room in ruins as Twilight stares at her.

## I'm not sure if i want to make this a 3d render or go through with a illustration. I really like the way it looks now and I don't know if i can pull it out with 3d.
## The perfect 3d perspective might limit what i want to show with this one but i have yet to try so...

A big winged creature, It's arms are long and muscular and help it walk. It posseses a horn long and twisted. It has long thick legs with claws.
An unruly mane and a long wild tail is visible among It's abundant fur.

I also finished reading "The princess and the Peasant" alongside "The forgotten sun" by @dapperlilarts.bsky.social at Fimfiction. Took me a cycle and a half of Blending hyperfocus but making her was fun. Twilight must be one of my favorites characters and @dapperlilarts.bsky.social's renditions aren't the exceptions. I'm not quite satisfied with the render with Sunset but i doubt it will be the last.

Sunset Shimmer the paladin carries Twilight Sparkle bridal style down a flight of stairs.

There are a few details missing that i would like to add, one of them being Sunset should be covered with blood from her previous fights.
Also i wanted to show more of the environment but it is still kind of underbaked so a close up is better.

Twilight is eager to celebrate Nightmare Night, she dressed as someone she admires a lot. Can you guess who it is?
No it's not Trixie...

She gets giddy showing her outfit, it is very accurate, she made sure to make it as close to the original as possible. Shame that her wings require some extra room to be comfortable.

She also prepared a beard, because without it she wouldn't really be Starswirl the bearded.

I had fun making her clothes, i decided to stick to my choice of procedural materials and it was a bit of a challenge but it ended up looking mighty fine.

Also i will stick with the drawn in expressions at least in still images. These models are meant to be simple after all, Twilight deserves more detail because she's that kind of character.

Sunset Shimmer the paladin, by the hit fanfic author @dapperlilarts.bsky.social. Anthropomorphic because as Dapper herself stated, hands make for cool stuff like weapon wielding. Also Sunset is supposed to be in a bender, yet here she is stabbing someone in an old manor?

Sunset Shimmer, the paladin unicorn serving under princess Twilight Sparkle is on the halls of a ransacked manor. Her gaze is dark and her movements lethal as she pierces someone with a spear.

Sunset's armor is black, with golden accents decorating the edge of each plate. On the sides of the helmet golden wings surround each ear hole.

The halls of the manor are empty, the few paintings still on the walls are bleak and ragged. The furniture still standing is a sad reminder of the better days this place has seen.

pd: I haven't seen a lot of depiction of Sunset's armor from Dapper so i took liberties. My internet is slow which makes looking for reference a hassle.
