While some are deeply concerned about the furry infiltration of commercial aviation, there are rumors that Senator Tuberville misunderstood the situation and, in fact, it is the air force that has gone furry, after another of the Secretary of War's biology experiments went badly awry.

I'm hoping to design a couple of calendars again this year. One might involve a set of individualist / illegalist anarchist portraits, focused on figures associeted with "l'anarchie" and the Bande à Bonnot. I have an unfinished set of button designs that probably adapt and expand easily.

There is a stack of such collections, most of which just need to be reviewed and formatted, covering anarchism — Eliphalet Kimball, Hector Morel, Greene's "Omega" articles, Andrews' series on universology, de Cleyre on freethought, etc. — but also weird science, political utopias, etc.

I'm trying to plan a Corvus Editions relaunch that doesn't threaten headway on A New Proudhon Library, but does diversify my tasks a bit — which is usually good for my productivity. I think the focus will be on collecting hard-to-find material, without a lot of critical apparatus attached.

I hadn't done much work on Greene recently, but access to some new sources seems to have confirmed a connection to the Free Soil party, debunked a supposed connection to Charles Kraitsir's Boston school and should eventually provide details on his controversial work in favor of Boston workingwomen.

Let's be honest: We always forget the "never forget" stuff, in favor of the same old feeling of beleaguered team spirit. Real memories wouldn't be pliant enough to fit every new occasion — and we might feel the urge to learn from them.

After watching the new "Human Vapor," I watched the original Toho Transforming Human Series: The H-Man (1958), The Secret of the Telegian (1960) and The Human Vapor (1960.) They are all good fun, for that sort of thing, but the gem is the similarly themed Invisible Man (1954.)

I'll get a chance to clarify things later this summer, as I am working on the journalism from late 1849 and 1850, but it looks like perhaps the more anarchist sense of "anarchy" saw a brief heyday around the time of the big debate on the State.

No block. You just missed accusations of white anarchists covering up historical anarchist racism, supported by some very familiar translations from Proudhon and Déjacque. It didn't seem serious enough for a conversation about Proudhon's actual racial theory — assuming such a thing exists.

It's not that weird, since the strategy of political abstention now associated with anarchism developed out of debates that happened largely after and as a result of the failures of the 1848 revolution. The works best known in the International were arguably all later as well.

The best evidence against the division of Proudhon's career into anarchist and federalist periods is the real absence of the kind of "anarchist period" critics seem to assume exists... somewhere... That is not to say that Proudhon was not an anarchist, but we need a better account of how he was one.
