Gradual triggers that have a cumulative effect with every time they are applied - that would work well for a sequence or comic too! Brain drain is a classic. Slowly replacing someone's ability to speak with random tics or animal noises would be fun too, or deleting memories if you're feeling mean.

It's a perfectly reasonable thing to be proud of though! It makes me intensely happy when people use character or creature designs I created for them, and I am pretty sure a lot of artists feel the same way.

I may not be that representative because I only stream once a week for an audience of, like, half a dozen regulars, but if it's something you enjoy doing, I'd say go for it. Art streamers rarely get huge audiences, but the interactions are still extremely fun and rewarding!

Yep, events like that have an almost supernatural tendency to overlap, no matter how flexible you technically are... You totally should try to make time for it though - my little local figure drawing group has become one of the personal highlights of my week over the course of the past few years!

Both of these things can be true at the same time - it's your story, they are your characters, and if you have a deep and visceral desire to do particular things with them, you should be free to do so. Besides, not all art involving them needs to be "canon"...

I don't think I have ever met an artist who was upset that folks used their work as reference. My own style has changed and developed over the years by incorporating elements from art I enjoy, some of it made by folks I personally know and respect. The same can probably be said about most skills.
