This has all sorts of fun tools now. Try it! Or tell your agent to connect over MCP!

The Wetland Project has been my favorite alternate-reality radio experience since it began. Since it only happens once a year, you can’t become accustomed to it. Close your eyes and be washed over by the sonic reality of an isolated bog on Saturna Island!

"Flows" are super flexible: workflows running in the memory system for query, ranking, summarization, tagging and more. Active memory. User-defined flows. Because "information" is a verb.

A few years ago I built a Champ-style 6AQ5 guitar amp, and now I made a reverb rack to sit on top. Spring reverb with EQ. Ward-Beck modules: levels and EQ for the dry channel and reverb return, and a summing headphone amp. Balanced ins & outs on the back. The faceplate is roofing slate.

How the behavior of DOGE -- and Trump's lackeys who are running riot through the federal government -- is exactly that of ... ... a protection racket An excellent way of understanding it, via @dahlialithwick.bsky.social at Slate The piece: slate.com/news-and-pol... unpaywalled: archive.is/tNrHM
A screenshot reading:

The line struck me at the time as a strange and ominous admission: Sure, we have arbitrarily defunded the government as you have come to understand it, but just hop on the phone with the as-yet-unconfirmed OMB director (he has since been confirmed), plead your case, and he might just do you a little favor. In the blur of the will-they-won't-they OMB memo rescission and the subsequent lawsuits, it was easy to miss that mobsters dole out services in precisely this fashion. Governments typically do not.

That certainly isn't how any of this is meant to work. It's how things worked during, say, the Renaissance, when you went with your rakish peasant hat in hand to the Medicis and asked them for special favors in exchange for your pony or your eldest daughter. It's how things worked when you went to the Cosa Nostra to ask for protection for you and your family in exchange for some portion of what was in your cash register. When we think of the DOGE takeover of the federal government solely as an act of smash-and-grab vandalism, we are just slightly missing the endgame, which s to sell us back those stolen goods and services in exchange for our loyalty. That is, of course, a protection racket. And it's precisely the point.

@bodhidave.bsky.social Dave - do you recommend a particular translation of the Cloud? I have Ira Progoff’s and it’s great, but feels a little archaic sometimes. Looking for “accurate and accessible” both.
