Loved the dark-Bradburyness of this. Great voice! A pleasingly insidious cautionary tale of the increasing desperation to feel *something* that reminds us darkly of the futility of it all. Great stuff!

I made a palette today for my earth pigments. Metal, plastic or even ceramic just didn't feel right somehow. The limpets are for water and the scallops for the shavings of pigment to be mixed before painting. I'll experiment with making brushes - I have rose fibre, nettle fibre and flax.

I'm at Northumbria University at the launch of 'Our Stories Matter.' Northumbria Uni is establishing the first North East and Cumbria Centre for GRT communities which will provide trusted spaces to gather learn and support one another with leadership training, careers advice and employment pathways.
