Placeholder assets in a game should look obnoxiously temporary, so obvious that no one would mistake it for the final asset. In past games we've used the doge dog (rip) as an icon, hot pink versions of characters, our CEO's head, etc. If you use a temp asset that seems passable, it may stay there.

in all my searching, since i have also desired a portable solution.....: The best seems to be an iPad :sobbing: but it's apple and you don't get CSP Next best is a laptop + small display tablet, which is something i am entertaining Worst is a mobile pc. too clunky. painfully expensive.

Wrapped up the Resident Evil trilogy on PSX to close out Halloween/October with RE3 Nemesis😚 I didn't like RE3 as much as RE1&&2 but it was still neat in some ways. My direct exposure to Resident Evil before this month was pretty much strictly limited to the 2000s movies lmao

i really enjoyed making it and i think it helped with immersion a lot of games feel a bit transient to me, whereas maybe it would have been imprinted on me more if i had played it during my childhood the only hangup is that i feel like this substantially added to my playtime
