Sprinkled a little color over the Hexviewer and added a data inspector with a byte distribution histogram. Byte peekers can have nice things too.

Still working diligently on my FileForensics app. Pane grids are implemented. Scanning for file signatures/metadata too. Working with iced.rs is similar to my experience with Rust. It felt a bit strange at first, but the more you work with it, the more you realize how well-thought-out it is ❤️

The app is slowly taking shape. Documents (PDF, DOCX, ODT, etc.) can now be searched. Files can be filtered by type or hash lists, and I've sprinkled in a bit more color.

Heavy lifting for the virtual list is done: with sorting, filtering, and resizable columns. Want to search through over a million files? Sure, why not. Since drag-and-drop isn’t supported on Linux (Wayland) yet in iced.rs, this one is for the Apple fanboys:

I am cooking again! This time, I decided to go with iced.rs. It might not be the most beginner-friendly GUI framework, but the code is well-documented and it feels very powerful, flexible, and 'rusty'. Love it so far!

Vince Gilligan didn’t disappoint. A creative, humorous series with great videography and just small narrative paddings. One of the best series I watched for a long, long time. Looking forward for season 2. ★★★★☆ 4.5/5

Jen is doing a great job at WebKit, and her writing about the `lh` unit ♥️ I was wondering how to simply create a fixed grid with row and columns in CSS, and came up with the following solution. To toggle the grid off, the related div can be commented out or deactivated via the browser DevTools.
div#grid {
    position: fixed;
    pointer-events: none;
    inset: 0;
    background-image:
        repeating-linear-gradient(to right,
            rgba(255,255,255,.4) 0,
            transparent 1px,   /* line thickness columns */
            transparent 60px), /* column width */
        repeating-linear-gradient(to bottom,
            rgba(0, 208, 255,.8) 0,
            transparent 2px,  /* line thickness rows */
            transparent 1lh); /* row height */
}Screenshot of the fixed grid.

As I’m coding my blog from scratch with Svelte/Kit + Node + SQLite (loving this combo ❤️), I was in need of an image gallery. So, for fun and practice, I build one (of course in vanilla JavaScript): github.com/huebicode/si...
