A coworker talked about it for like 6 months before I was convinced to read them. I ended up blowing through the first 7 in 4 months finishing right in time for the release of the 8th. This is also exactly how I found A Song of Ice & Fire.

We saw Tommy this afternoonn and were probably the youngest people there. I'm not sure if it's because old people go to the theater on Sunday afternoons, because the Browns are playing, or because Tommy is the music of their youth.

I've never played Lilliput or 1862, but would like to try them sometime. I just picked up a copy of 1848: Australia, but it's missing 9 yellow tiles so I'm kind of bummed.

They were fun. Pharoah uses a time mechanic and Fac51 has infinite cubes that spawn, but the location of each color rotates around the board each turn.

Oh, no! Hopefully we can play together next year if I make the trip. Both of the maps were wild. I liked them though. I won Pharoah by getting a couple of long boat deliveries with the Lord of the Nile power in the last round.

In September I spent 1 day at Splotter Con and went to a couple of public meetups. It's always a good month if I get to play Age of Steam, Brass, and Bus.

Played Railways of the Lost Atlas with the expansion today. I think the minor auction rule is dumb and don't like the events or landmarks. The ret of the gme was fine though. I prefer other 18xx titles, but wouldn't say no of someone wants to play those again sometime.

I thought they sounded great and the show is entertaining visually as well. I'd never guess they're 74 years old. It's the best concert I've seen in the last couple of years. The vocals at Death Cab might have been a little better though. 10/10 would see them again.

Not to cats in general. The Schrödinger connection is that cities start out colorless so they can be anything until they are observed by delivering a cube to them. At that point they become the color of the cube if a matching observation tile is available. There are a couple other wrinkles as well.

Another great month. Unpublished prototypes were Grandma, I'm Hungry and Momentum from the Gen Con Indie Market. The only game I didn't like last month was Deep Regrets. I think it would have been fun if it lasted 1/3 of the time.

I'm jealous. I was only at Gen Con Thursday so most of the indie games were off my radar. We played an 8 player game at a public meetup and were ssshhh'ed afterwards. 😄
