Samir Jagirdar, 58, used his scrap jewellery company to accept huge amounts of cash and then buy gold grain, which was smuggled to Dubai under fake invoices.

On October 13, 2023, Israeli forces targeted a group of seven journalists in southern Lebanon in a double-tap strike that killed journalist Issam Abdallah and injured six of his colleagues, including CPJ awardee Christina Assi. Read Assi's op-ed in the @euobserver.com: tinyurl.com/yzt7uv62

Actually, that should be 2827 *minus the 259 that have already been transferred to other parts of Spain* remain.

Figure here is 2827 minors remain & don't expect it to change much as no minors have been - or are likely to be - expulsed. But quite a lot of non-minors have been persuaded to leave over the last few days - just in time for a clean up of the beach & the royal visit that's around the corner! 🤪

Palantir puff piece alert. Would be easy to assume the guy had copied the "intimate images" from police files. In fact, they were pics he'd received on his personal phone - legitimately, presumably - and he used work phone to circumvent their auto-deletion. Not the story it at first appears to be.

This doesn't look like the police admitting they have made an error.

"We ensured the court was presented with all the necessary information and paperwork to inform their decision, following the correct legal processes throughout.
We accept the position that the initial court's decision to issue warrants under the specific piece of legislation used was incorrect and therefore these must be legally quashed."

It's noteworthy that any private indiviudal using an 'illegal' scooter/bike in UK faces a fine/confiscation, whereas companies apparently have free reign to send these contraptions out wherever they wish. But think cars parked on pavements more pressing problem. Simple 100% ban & we're done!

And this from today's content is incorrect: "The vans were marked by the logo of a legitimate fuel transit company that later denied ownership of the vehicles..." Nope, someone wrongly thought that two different company names with different logos & unmatching telephone numbers were one & same.🤦
Screenshot from the Daily Mail showing two completely different logos for differently named companies with different telephone numbers that for reasons only they could explain, the content creators at the Mail (and now the Guardian too) would have us believe are the same.

Seems very likely that the police/authorities knew almost immediately that this was not a major incident. And yet 'respectable' media such as the Guardian claimed explosives *had* been found. Don't think they should be excused for printing, effectlively, lies.

Are we sparing the blushes of the media too? They did a terrible job here, stoking up fear ('cos it sells) when it seemed likely not to have been the story they'd have had us all believe: police said almost straight away that it was 'contained' - impossible to say this if had been a 'terror cell'.
