New research has found that 3-4 cups of coffee a day is linked to longer telomeres (an indicator of slower biological ageing) among people with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. 🔗Read more: www.kcl.ac.uk/news/coffee-...
"We know that coffee can help slow biological ageing in the general population, but little is known about its effect on people with severe mental illness – a population whose lifespan is already shortened by 15 years on average." Having lived with bipolar disorder and associated sleep and body clock disruption for so long, I am really keen to understand what is going on in my brain and body when my mood disorder wrecks my sleep patterns, and i know the only way to find out is for someone to actually do the research
