If 8% is true then it has to also take into account ships smaller than Suezmax ( defined as being 120000 - 200000 dwt). Actual number of VLCCs that don't fit in the Suez Canal seems to be comparable to the number of Suezmax tankers (700 - 800 and 600 - 700 respectively)
