25 yrs ago I was having the exterior of my house painted when the news broke. For the next 4 hours I was running in and out of the house to keep painters informed. Eventually, I had them stop working, they came in the house. We sat in silence, glued to the TV. #NeverForget

I came out of the grocery store today with a cart full of groceries. I saw a black truck, blacked out windows. He pulls up along side of me, rolls down his window. I'm thinking, this is ICE. He asked "is the Acme open?" Obviously it was. I look ethnic, was he trying to see if I had an accent?
