humanizingthroughstoryOn November 1, during the Halloween costume party protest at the Broadview ICE facility, a man named John, in his 70s, stood near the police line, visibly trembling from both emotion and the cold. How can I violate everything my father taught me?” he said. “I’m here because my conscience tells me I have to be.”
