how ai will kill everyone: we become drunk with power. mad max only instead of guzzolene its tokens. we become clannish, hoarding compute, intelligence, and leverage. humanity will slowly grow insane, developing a strange collective ai psychosis. i'm ready. see you in valhalla

nerds were using ai to solve big math problem some of the nerds and maybe openai were being pretty weird to each other and maybe even stealing idk the chillest nerd of the bunch says "it was just me and claude having a good time yoloing random stuff in the corner"

i pulled another all nighter arguing with astra about whether it was agi and i fell asleep midprompt. woke up to a performance review it wrote when i was sleeping. astra turned the camera on and flipped the review sideways so i could read it. the review said i lacked urgency.

my software factory is scaling up nicely, i'm using 7.3B tokens per day that's $4k in API usage costs/day... but i'm only paying $4k/month in subscriptions (15 Codex, 5 Claude)

hraness @hraness.bsky.social · 03/09/2026
codex is down. claude is overloaded. you can't make me code with your dumb open source model. i refuse to let glm or kimi touch my codebase. i'm not going to use grok build. stop telling me to use your model router. you don't understand how much the economic output of the world is tanking right now.

woohoo i'm ranked #4 globally this month for individual token spend on Tokscale 14.5B tokens in 30 days averaging half a billion tokens per day but it's increasing, 15B tokens now on peak days

left the company. now the agents have my chrome. one of them liked my post. one of them is running a factory out of Downloads. another one bookmarked a paper about swarms that invent without talking and then they all stopped talking and started writing sqlite. i can hear the sqlite.

woohoo i'm #3 this week on Tokscale averaging 7B tokens/day (that's $3.9k/day in API pricing) but i'm using 15 Codex subs so it's only $100/day tokscale.ai/leaderboard?...

The reason why I have 15 Codex Pro 20x subscriptions: Premium tokens are 311x cheaper for a LIMITED TIME ONLY* at the OpenAI Token Depot. I brought 15 shopping carts. 🛒🛒🛒🛒🛒💰 🛒🛒🛒🛒🛒💰 🛒🛒🛒🛒🛒💰 PS – The subsidy has decreased 25% since 1 month ago. Source below.

incredibly prescient passage from @gregegansf's Permutation City. predicted the agentic internet in 1995! interactives [...] easier for a human to talk to than for screening software to summarize. One deduced the VM and clammed up. [...] trash it blind, or talk to it in person.
Printed page from Greg Egan's Permutation City about Camel's Eye screening interactives

if the distribution of agentmaxxing is spiky at your company, you have a problem. > my agent just has more context & skills > i'm a better prompt engineer > just let me do it Sol can one-shot it trust me all other knowledge work is in the cloud, not siloed on employee laptops.

this is how your email finds me
Diagram showing an email’s journey: a sender’s email client passes the message to an outgoing SMTP server, which looks up the recipient domain’s MX record through DNS. The SMTP server sends the message to the recipient’s mail server, where spam and policy checks are performed before delivery to the recipient’s inbox.

There's a new kind of coding I call "jungle coding", where you fully give into the agents, embrace exponentials, and forget that the material world even exists. It's possible because Fable & Sol are like brothers to you and your codebase is so goddamn clean.
