We had a good time at the DPK in Berlin. I‘m also very happy to receive one of the supervisor awards from the Clinical Psychology section of the @dgps.bsky.social and I’m especially grateful that my team nominated me again. Thanks to my team for their great work and for making the work so enjoyable.

We had a wonderful time at #SPR2025 @therealspr.bsky.social in Montreal. Inspiring talks & posters, and as always, a pleasure to catch up with friends and colleagues. I’m also very honoured to have been named an SPR Fellow – a recognition of my ongoing contributions to psychophysiology and SPR.

Thrilled to have participated in the @rtg2753.bsky.social Summer School last week! Against a beautiful lake backdrop, I presented a poster on a project from the CPN lab @uni-hamburg.de lead by @anjariesel.bsky.social. The work explores experimental design choices when measuring the startle reflex.

(3/3) We induced state uncertainty using a novel experimental uncertainty symptom induction. Momentary changes in state uncertainty did not significantly change ERN/CRN from pre to post intervention, further questioning the link between IU and the ERN in a subclinical sample.

(2/3) In a collapsed sample of N = 355 students, we found no cross-sectional links of intolerance of uncertainty or it’s subconstructs on the ERN and could not replicate previous findings.
