Many, many hours of learning Procreate later, my spouse and I have completed the art of my new D&D character Mei! It was wonderful to keep trading the pieces and help each other with inspiration and design ideas. Props to her for suggesting multiple expressions for us to make, it was great fun~

Our garden isn't quite so far along, but I'm excited to have planted them with the boya! Took a while to clear out the overgrowth of Shiso and Catnip 😸

We've been watching the Ranma remake lately, and it's better than the original. Everything gets more breathing room so there's real emotional weight. As someone who read and watched it many times as a teen, I'm very happy and recommend the remake! Any characters in your style would look cool 😸

Thank you @johncaden64.bsky.social for the wonderful commission art! I'm very flattered and grateful. They were wonderful to work with, 10/10 person and artist 💜 Check their website, they've done lots of great art and stories!

Lately my writing ideas have been fantastic. Sitting on the world that I made, building locales, and interweaving three different time periods and the stories I want to tell in them really flexes my mental muscles in the right ways. Running two D&D campaigns, and planning one novel. A lot, but fun!

Yeah... very relatable. I work from home and we never get breaks away from the kiddo so surveillance isn't as necessary for us, but these quotes hit me hard. Perhaps even moreso since we don't get breaks, I feel the pain of not being present at times quite viscerally.

When she is with them
she is not herself, when she
is without them she is hot
herself, and so it is as difhcutt
to leave your chidren as it is to
stay with them. To discover this
is to fel that your life has become
irretrievably mired in conflict,
or caught in some mythic snare
in which you will perpetually,
vainly struggle.

SHE'S GOING TO CONTINUE TO
GROW AND CHANGE, AND I'M
GOING TO MISS PARTS OF IT

SURVEILLANCE SOMETIMES
FEELS LIKE A WAY FOR ME
TO TRY TO HOLD ONTO
THE PARTS OF HER THAT
I KNOW I CANNOT KEEP

What's your "no one but me remembers game?" Fatal Labyrinth for the Genesis. An incredibly difficult basic RPG that was actually my first successful foray into the genre. I later found things like EarthBound and Super Mario RPG, but this one will always stick with me. I only ever beat it once haha
