made the mistake of posting fairly innocuously about vegan cheese and now my entire feed is fucking grim-looking food and posts about how you wouldn't eat human babies, make it stop

well no I mean this is what I mean - all I've ever heard is horror stories, the entire system needs to be scrapped and overhauled!

if only they also did this with compassion, which we can probably all agree is something to advocate for (in all healthcare/welfare/care support)

what is happening instead is this massive distraction (which inevitably has been picked up by the media) and I don't believe people on the "right" side should be fuelling it

I would like leftist advocacy to primarily address what is happening to those at the sharpest point of need, which here is e.g. children and young adults unable to access education and support, huge cuts to acute psychiatric services, the crisis in care funding, an overhaul of PIP etc
