REMINDER: The approved 2016 referendum explicitly calls out O&M costs funded in More MARTA (MM) transit expansion. City’s audit of MARTA showed 45% of MM budgeted to O&M. Truth remains & the Mayor, who has represented Atlanta in a citywide seat since 2013, knows better 👀

Reminder: Atlanta Beltline Rail is a *subset* of transit expansion projects funded back in 2016. Many are already moving forward: -Capitol Ave -Cleveland -Metropolitan -Campbellton -Murphy Crossing Beltline rail projects have not progressed in years. Monday’s vote helps get us out of the mud.

Lmao I knew that Five Points renovation wasn’t on the More MARTA technical assessment as a major project, only “General maintenance and aesthetic improvement; Install new signage/wayfinding” What I overlooked was the project wasn’t even on the initial map voters approved 👀

It is essential ATLDOT designs & delivers the spoke & trolley trail extension projects in a way that creates connected, *usable* space for our new neighbors in affordable housing. Currently there’s missing sidewalks connecting them to the @atlantabeltline.org, Rec Center, & parks.

Hear me out: turn Kirkwood Ave off the Beltline to a Low Traffic Street. Use modal filters at intersections. Retain vehicular access at cross streets. No more vehicular conflicts over the Beltline. Direct access to neighborhood retail. Close proximity to Trolley Trail. 🌸

BeltLine Southside Trail mere feet from connecting across Boulevard! Once delivered… connects far more than the 18 miles of BeltLine. With existing routes (& more pending), we get circuitous options to get around town. HUGE Southside gaps yet to be prioritized 👎- LET’S GO!!!

Adams Park Trail alignment per Trails Atlanta maps. ~$13mil estimate. Delowe slopes a fair amount on either side- I wonder if they’ll look to place southern end of the trail on the golf course instead of adjacent the street. Venetian’s comparatively flat & wide = easier design.
