Y'all #todayilearned that #oxen are NOT a species of #cow We all know bovines, the (sub)family that includes cows, buffalo, etc. Male bovines are called bulls. Castrated bulls are called steers. Bulls castrated when grown and then used for work are called oxen. Is this like common knowledge? 👀🐮
