Heads up that we're doing some planned maintenance starting at 6:00pm EDT (2200UTC) tonight, August 20, 2025. Hover will be inaccessible for part of the one-hour window, but domains and email will be unaffected. More info on our Status page: www.hoverstatus.com/incidents/11

The ICANN fee that is charged on every generic top-level domain (gTLD) registration, transfer or renewal is going up on July 1, 2025 from $0.18 to $0.20. We pass that fee directly through in our pricing, so accordingly, we'll be adjusting prices on all gTLDs by exactly $0.02 effective July 1, 2025.

Heads up that very soon, most generic top-level domains (gTLDs) are moving to a single contact (owner) instead of the current four contacts (owner, admin, tech, billing). There's nothing you need to do if your domains are with Hover - we've got it all covered.

If you are not a username and password kind of person, you can sign into your Hover account using a "magic token" instead. It gets sent to your account email, and we also still enforce 2FA if you have that configured. From the sign in page, just click "Sign in With Magic Token".

We had a blue check at that other place, but we also think that domain name handles are a really good indicator that accounts are who they say they are. We still welcome the news that Bluesky has adopted a verification program and visual indicator.

We've put .CA domains on sale for the next little while to give Canadians the opportunity to add a digital Canadian flag to their online presence at a much lower price. Trade up to the .CA version of your existing domain, or register a new .CA for your next big idea. www.hover.com/tld/buy-ca-d...

Now with our domain as our handle! Thanks @bsky.app for handling verification with something as simple as using the domain name people already know and trust. Hover Connect makes it easy for you to do the same with your Hover domain.

ccTLDs and local gTLDs are a great way to show pride for where you live. We offer ccTLDs like .de, .uk., .au, .ca and more. And we have city domains like .amsterdam, .paris, .london, .tokyo and others. Try a domain search and check off the search filters on the right side to see what's available.
