Some more color blocking, and the checkerboard pattern on the coat. There’s a bit more highlighting/shading I want to do on the coat, then it’s on to the metallics and the stitching. I also added on the missing bits to his ensemble. Overall a nice model to paint for #orktober #paintingminiatures

The only thing I’ve heard is the possibility of the Abominations getting some minis, but nothing on more mechs. It would be nice to see some Gothic Clan Mechs though, I won’t lie! There’s also the Raygun Continuum teased, and I’m looking forward to that!

It’s a really great redesign with only one unfortunate flaw near the top of the legs. If I end up getting another I’ll have to add tapestries some of the other gothic ‘mechs have.

In around 26-hours, the new #MadCatII video will be live on my channel. It's all set and ready to go. But before it drops, I wanted to show off an amazing piece by @alblackwell.bsky.social that's in the video, and is the opening shot even. Video link here: youtu.be/JfJN6bdARvk #Battletech

-The picture demonstrates a Mad Cat Mk II, adorned in a custom Clan Sea Fox colour scheme. It shows the mech storming a facility on the beach, which appears to be a freight-centre.

-There is a downed defender's mech as well, which has clearly been torn apart and is burning after being struck by enemy fire.

-To the bottom left of the image is a Warhammer IIC and Hammerhead, which were presented in an art-piece before.

-Lighting streaks across the sky.

-A Hurricane rolls through the area, drenching the area in wind and rain.

-The Mad Cat Mk II itself is also in the process of firing its LRM's.

-Overall, the idea came together when me and Alan talked about this being a follow-up to an art piece he'd done for me before. I think it's pretty cool.

I’ll have to keep my eyes open for those when/if they arrive. I know the nature of the product line is meant as a very limited release/one-shot sort of deal so my exceptions are tempered. I do wish I had the space for a 3d printer, but alas reality interferes.

I really like the flourishes on them! The King Crab is the one I’m looking forward to painting the most, its gothic version really has a regal look to it. I do wish we got some Abomination models ( and that we get more gothic variants mechs in the future )

The Gothic Phoenix Hawk is all done. While I’m happy with how it turned out, it’s the first model of the set I really started to struggle with due to some crushed and vague details. I’m on to the Heavy mechs now, starting with the Rifleman. #battletech
