Each Bay Area household may receive 1 five-pound bag of Oxbow adult rabbit food, 10 pounds of litter, and 2 flakes of hay, plus additional donated items as they are available. Those items are first come, first served while they last. The pantry runs from 12–3 pm.

Through our veterinary training initiative, professionals and students come to HRS to train with our expert medical team. So far this year, 39 veterinary professionals and students from across the U.S. and even Scotland have come on-site, including veterinarians from five Bay Area animal shelters.

Please contact Senate President Pro Tempore Monique Limón (monique.limon@sen.ca.gov) and Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Sabrina Cervantes (sabrina.cervantes@sen.ca.gov) to urge them to release AB 1382 from the suspense file so it can receive a vote on the Senate floor.

Although AB 1382 has made significant progress, it has unexpectedly been placed in the Senate Appropriations Committee's "suspense" file, putting its future at risk. The bill must be released from the suspense file before it can move forward to a vote on the Senate floor.

Early last month, a local shelter reached out to us after a mother rabbit unexpectedly gave birth to a litter of 8 rabbits at their facility. They contacted us for help, and we were happy to be able to step in.
