Why the fuck do conventions keep doing this

A diagram of a wrestling ring at convention right nextto artist alley. The wrestling ring is extremely loud and the wall in betweenit and the artist alley does nothing to reduce the noise. All the Autistic people are having a terrible time

The TOS being so strict that they control you offsite is the problem; sites like Patreon and Kofi have offsite clauses too. The social criminalization of the suggestion that somewhere you might be doing nsfw is a problem. It's branding a person as obscene and we need consumers to stand up for us

Selling at a con will have you thinking bonkers things like “maybe I should watch more anime for like,, career reasons,,,”

I understand people are busy but it always stings when a small business you were interested in working with says they “like your work” and “will get back to you” before hiring someone else and posting about it publically.

NSFW Artists being attacked on all fronts while the government actively protects pedos is fucking nuts and shouldn't be ignored.

Similar phenomenon: NSFW content is incredibly policed from small creators on platforms that will then allow ads that are nearly softcore. NSFW content isn’t censored if it makes money for big corporations, but individuals and small creators have to toe an arbitrary line of what counts as too much.

An illustration of a male character with wavy hair kneeling on the floor, looking over his shoulder with a mournful expression. Next to him is a rose and a candelabra, and behind him a curtain is blowing in the breeze. The illustration is framed with a lacey border.
