It's been very heartening to see other people step forward to say how they think of the Tyrant as being a Zenos shard because that was my exact reaction as well :>

YESSSSS! I love super line-efficient drawings like this, where you can tell exactly who it is with just a few lines 👀

I really want normal-looking creature options without any crazy effects, glowing, sparkling, etc. Just. Normal brown horse. Giant hawk/falcon that doesn't glow.

I still want to make a little Spriggan marionette someday so he can bop around and be a Littol Guy (also because I cannot commit to a cosplay but I wanna play toys too...) but the ADHD is So Strong 😭

Four Lords/Stormblood FFXIV spoilers Having a Bard main WoL who loves Z/enos, and then fighting Suzaku has got me in my feelings. All the doomed lovers in FFXIV remind me of #Zenoswol idk, is this anything?

Sukazu's dialogue from Hells' Kier Trial:
Suzaku: Tenzen? Tenzen, 'tis I! Sheathe your sword, I beg of you!
Suzaku: You gave me the strength to rise from the ashes!
Suzaku: Let there be no more secrets between us...
Suzaku: I could not bear to lose you again!
Suzaku: I never showed you my true form, did I...?
Suzaku: Trust in me, my love! I will protect you─I promise!
Suzaku: Please, my love─ If only you would listen...
Suzaku: Why do you do this!?
Suzaku: All I ever wanted was for you and I to...to...
Suzaku: Hearken to my melody...
Suzaku: All I ever wanted was for you and I to...to...
Suzaku: Tenzen, please!
Suzaku: You never did make it easy, did you?
Suzaku: We will wake you from this madness!
Suzaku: If it must be thus, then I'm glad...it is you...

In the course of time the gulag grows ever bigger and more perfect, while the adjoining paradise gets ever smaller and poorer." -Milan Kundera Quoted in "A Non-Euclidean View of California as a Cold Place To Be" by Ursula K le Guin 4/4

Once the dream of paradise starts to turn into reality, however, here and there people begin to crop up who stand in its way, and so the rulers of paradise must build a little gulag on the side of Eden. 3/4

without secrets from one another. ... If totalitarianism did not exploit these archetypes, which are deep inside us all and rooted deep in all religions, it could never attract so many people, especially during the early phases of its existence. 2/4

A Milan Kundera quote that I keep thinking about that is unfortunately very very applicable to the here and now: "Totalitarianism is not only hell, but also the dream of paradise—the age-old dream of a world where everybody would live in harmony, united by a single common will and faith, 1/4

Agreed. Any time someone is removed from their place as a person, either through putting them down or raising them up, it's a problem. And I love that FFXIV explores the horror and pain of the WoL, of becoming a hero, nearly a god, larger than life.

Prince of Hounds @houndsprince.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Oh neat! I'd heard the memes before (By Talos this can't be happening...) but I'd never bothered to actually look into the character. Very cool! Other god/psychopomps in mythology have a lot in common with the WoL/Azem, too, like Hermes.

I love this so much! My girlfriend has a print framed and for the longest time I thought it was official merch! It's so lovely ❤️

Turning a hero into a deity that is also a psychopomp is the kind of weird/distressing/cool story exploration that I am here for 👀👌

Also my favorites: summoning a mount and jumping around with people who also have that mount. Or make a mount tower in areas where you can fly.
